The Breeding Barn For August & September 2012

When you scan through the breeding reports for NSW and Victoria for August and September it’s not hard to spot the two of the most popular sires producing litters at a rapid pace with Cosmic Rumble the dominate sire in NSW and Bekim Bale a highly popular choice for both NSW and Victoria.

For Cosmic Rumble in NSW, a little to Cristalle (Collision x Tawari Tess) that produced 3 dogs and 5 bitches who’s progress will prove very interesting with Cristalle a winner of 16 races including 6 wins over the 600m+ distance will surely give these pups a lot of strength and the ability to produce very fast run homes.

From a breeding line perspective Rumble Spirit appears on both sides of the equation giving the pups a 25% make up of this successful breeding line that has through some of Australia’s most successful stud dogs including; Collision, Collide and in the second offspring Cosmic Rumble.

Not only was she a highly successful at racing but Bananarama is definitely making her mark as a quality broodbitch from just her first litter to Collision having produced; Lord Rama, Squashed Banana and Helele. Her career statistics were as impressive as they come with 19 wins and 6 minor placings from just 39 stars including 10 impressive wins at Wentworth Park with a personal best of 29.86 over the 520m.

The choice for sire in her next litter was USA import Yahoo Omar who is making a massive impression in America with his success rate of winners and the cross with Bananarama’s Irish sire EA’s Itzaboy will prove very interesting for breeding enthusiasts with the combining of two of the great global greyhound breeding lines. She has six dogs and two bitches during the month of August.

Other notable litters from quality race dogs include; Bekim Bale x Amity Bale (6 dogs and 4 bitches), the superstar stayer’s second litter will combine early speed and superior stamina to produce a litter of quality pups with the whole package. Amity Bale’s first two litters have produced an array of talent with her most famous offspring current sprinting star Imry Bale ( Go Wild Teddy ) winner of the 2012 Bill Collins Memorial at Sandown.

Cosmic Rumble was the most popular sire for whelping’s in the month of August with 8 followed by Bit Chilli with 5 and the new stud on the market Spring Gun leads the most services for the month of August with 10 followed by Cosmic Rumble with 8.
