2012 South Australian Coursing Season Gets Underway
In fine sunny conditions the 2012 Season commenced with an 11 race program. All events were 4-dog and Committee has resolved that at least the first 3 meetings will be kept to 4-dog events.
This gives all trainers the opportunity to give their greyhounds “a go” – see that they enjoy this type of racing and suffer no harm from 2 runs up the straight. Our next meeting is scheduled for May 13 and a Mother's Day event will be conducted for “the girls” – greyhounds that is!
Cossie Lopresto showed the way in the training brigade by providing a double with Flying Belle and Rendition, Kiah Edwards had her first coursing winner with Spotted Kaspar along with David Neal, another newcomer, and Dizzy Karma.
The track was in superb condition and the Club is grateful to all those volunteers who make this happen each week.
