Iuki’s Lady Back To Brilliant Best
A lovely days coursing was conducted by the hard working Longwood Coursing Club. Last Season this club was unable to conduct meetings due to the drought and the condition of the track. Many thanks to everyone who assisted them to have a most successful day and all looks well for the 2008 Derby/Oaks meeting to be held in a months time (Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July 2008).
Iuki's Lady returned to the winners list taking out the Longwood Cup in a very closer course, commiserations to Be Kind who gave his all to try and defeat our past champion bitch. I can't remember last when a previous Coursing Bitch of the Year had some of her pupppies also competing. Congratulations to Peter and Family for their endeavours.
The Don Davision Memorial was won by Chloe Jane who successfully coursed during this meeting, all the best to Richie and Wendy Adderley for their efforts.
Koko Black was once again successful for Dr. Des Fegan and Colin Dalton a most outstanding effort for this puppy.
The Fothergill Family from Numurkah had a great days coursing with their charges coursing well during the day. Hope to see you again at the next meeting.
Congratulations to Peter Gavin from Werribee for this first coursing success at this meeting. Peter assists at the Werribee Coursing Club and is only fairly new to the greyhound industry. All the best in the future.
