Written By Tuesday 29th July 2008

Once again close courses prevailed during the day with a few surprises. The trained proved too good in the final against who has competed keenly throughout the season for Bill Van-Nes.

for made it two in a row for the young Werribee Trainer.

Malcolm Davis had some handy charges in with finally breaking through for a well deserved win, with also successful, narrowly defeated in the final.

Robyn Massina had a few other handy charges with Didak and Winona Gold Runners up.

Pauline & won with and successful and Elite Pursuit Running up.

had Can’t Sleep at his best in winning his event with Mr. Helmuth defeated in his final.

All in all it was a lovely day with sunny cold windy conditions and it actually rained during the night prior to the meeting. Many thanks to the hard working committee including the Sait Family, Leo Noonan and helpers. To the Ladies from the local school who manage and run the canteen, many thanks.

Next Sunday coursing takes place at Lang Lang with the 2008 , the 2008 for the All Aged & Cup Greyhounds, and the 2008 Gipplsand Cup for greyhounds that must have coursed but have not raised more than two flags in any event.

If you have been defeated first or second round, or runner up in a maiden event then this could the BIG one you take out for the year.

All events are competed for over two weekends (3rd August & 10th August), defeated greyhounds from the 3rd August may re-nominate for events to be conducted on the following weekend (10th August).
