With a full field for the Ruby Loans Rising Star Stakes, the Where's Pedro x Keep Token litter certainly gave no signs of panic when filling 3 of the first 4 placings.
CEASE TO PANIC defeated PANIC by 4 lengths with Slipper's Luck and Keep Looking filling equal 3rd. Terry Cahalan (trainer) combined with Ben Murphy (owner) to take out this prestigious event – commenting that he'll be back for the Derby.
Shaun Laffin produced SPARROW BAZ at his best when he successfully defended his second Patrons Cup. He defeated a gallant KAHLIA by a length providing Shaun and his new wife with another great success.
HITRO NITRO defeated AUNTY CHOPPER by 1.5 lengths in the Kennard's Hire Maiden Stake for Kelvin Stott. CLYDE SANNETTE defeated WANNY HUSSLER for Neil Mann in the Adelaide Plains Veterinary Services Maiden and EBONY'S CHILD showed a good turn of pace from slips when he defeated DOMATIA BALE.
The Emerley Park Novice Stake was taken out by MANHATTAN ANGEL for Laurie Cahalan defeating BELLA DAKOTA.
Our next meeting is scheduled for 5 September and the club will run preludes for the forthcoming OAKS and DERBY if we receive sufficient nominations. Nominations close with GRSA at 9.00 am Wednesday 1st September.
