Greyhound Tips for Thursday 18th July 2013

Tough night ahead with plenty of quality racing around the Country. Albion Park has a cracking best 8 race at 9.08pm and I’m sure we have found the winner in it. We also see Boom pup Dustnado go around from box 1 in the Puppy classic at Angle Park, and the question is by how far will this son of Vapour Whirl win by? We have the usual 5 selections for you to put your hard earned on.

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 8 Box 1 Man Of Manners, 9.08pm

Cracking race with 8 talented runners. Man of Manners is a special here in this for mine. Hot favourite Top Story will present Man Of Manners with the run of the race here, as he likes to get wide early on. Hes been working back up to 500 and tonight he looks set to collect the winners cheque. From box 1 he should boot up and and have no trouble holding the inside running early on, and race away here for a solid victory. We might be able to get good Fixed Odds early here and i suggest jumping aboard. Should win.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 4 Box 1 Dustnado, 8.14pm

This bloke is the unbeatable commodity for the night, but there’s no point backing him as we will be lucky to get $1.10. We will have a go at picking the Trifecta, as it looks to be quite easy. Boxes 3 and 8 appear to be the standouts of the field and both are boxed to perfection. Emerley Zodiak and Tatiara Boy should both fill the placings with ease. Zodiak should find himself in second early on, and Tatiara Boy should be burning around the outside from the get go. They wont catch the fav but clearly look 2nd and 3rd picks. Great trifecta race and we should be able to get $15 about the tri for a $2.00 outlay.

Dapto Greyhounds Race 2 Box 8 Stiff Arm 7.52pm

LAY BET for the night. Stiff Arm went like a bullet here last week, but meets a far better field then his heat. There’s no doubt his early pace will put him in this for a long way, but I don’t think he can win here tonight. He stopped like he was shot here last week, and early on was on target to post a sub 30.00 second run, but he didn’t finish the race off at all. All they have to do is stay in touch with him early and I have no doubt something will run over the top of him here. Folk Tails from box 1 may be that runner. He’ll start favourite but i suggest you lay him. Keep in mind my Lay bet record is woeful!!!

Hobart Greyhounds Race 4 Box 2 Ferarro Dreams 8.41pm

I quite like this fellow and the way in which he race last week when finishing third. With all the scratchings he could prove to be the knockout dog here in this.  Hellyeah Rachael will start the favourite but her run lastt time out was only very fair. He has enough speed to lead these and will take a power of beating if he does. The Susan Gittus trained Ferraro Dreams hasn’t the best record here, but at decent odds he looks a really good each way bet. Hes won 6 races and won from box 2 and i’d be inclined to have a big go here if the odds are right.

Sandown Greyhounds Race 7 Box 5 Miss Markwell 9.11pm

This bitch has been really unlucky of late, and is racing in fantastic fashion. Last start here behind the super talented Hello Goodbye, she absolutely flew home her to run 4th. This race is far far easier then her latest assignments, and she may well have enough class to lead these. If she does the question is by how far, but if she doesn’t, she still only needs here fair share of luck to blow these away. She’ll start the favourite but hopefully a back able one. Great rover in a few multiples, but still should win.

Best of Luck
