2015 NSW Sprint and Distance Championships free tips & best odds

THE final state qualifiers for the 1 and Distance Championships will be held on Saturday night, with two terrific NSW deciders being run and won at Wentworth Park.

The NSW Distance Championship will be the first to jump, with Anthony Azzoardi's Magic Earner the $2.20 favourite with William Hill from box two. The exceptionally bred daughter of and Magic Capers is in terrific form at present having won three of her last four starts including a dazzling 42.15 heat performance last Saturday.

The biggest threat in the 720 metre feature is the immensely talented Lithgow Panther, a $4.20 shot with William Hill. The black dog has been mixing his form in recent starts but is a machine on his night, putting him right in contention for the title.

Two other chasers are under double figure odds, with Evidence and Lord Golec currently $4.80 and $5.50 respectively. Evidence, a son of Brett Lee and Cristalle, has had one start for one win over the track and trip having run 42.29 in his heat last week, while Lord Golec is yet to miss a top three finish over the journey in five starts.

The sprinters will also have their chance to shine, with leading conditioner Jason Mackay training the odds on favourite, Smart Missile. Currently $1.85 to take out the final, the youngster is drawn perfectly in box one and is coming off a superb 29.43 heat win last week, but it won't be an easy task.

Other leading chances in the event include Uno Suzie (box two), Ryley Sams (box three), (box five) and Bessy Boo (box six), all of which are under double figure odds.

Showing the quality of the final, highly talented speedster La Grand Logie (box four) is a $17 shot, despite boasting a commanding 29.73 personal best over the track and trip.

The National Distance and Sprint Championships are races five and seven at Wentworth Park and will jump at 8:47pm and 9:35pm respectively.

I believe he is a great winning chance, however the $4.20 quote is a bit short for a chaser with his racing pattern.”
