Albion Park greyhound tips & betting preview January 22 2015

IT looks to be another great night of chasing in the Sunshine State with 10 races packed with some seriously talented canines.

The Australia Day trophy, race eight, looks to be the standout event of the night with each runner possessing an immense amount of class.

The feature will see proven performers You Can Talk, Flash Reality, Farmer's Gold, Yogi Blue and Cyndie's Special in a race which is genuinely good enough to be a Group race final.

Wide open affair to kick off the night and although Georgina has been costly in her brief career to date, she looks really well placed in this event. She has been soundly beaten in her recent placings here but if you go back through her form she does have a sizzling 30.46 Ipswich win to her credit, with a clear run early she should be able to make a big impact.

Queenies Best is the likely leader and she should give a great sight, she isn't overly strong but she is hitting the line a lot better with every run over this journey.

Orara Ell has the good draw and she should share the lead for most of the journey, like Queenies Best, she isn't overly strong but if she holds them out she should get her chance.

Moss Win Queen rounds out the chances, she is well drawn out wide and she caught the eye when scoring at Ipswich from this draw at her second start.

Top Four: 7 – 4 – 1 – 8

Renouf's Magic has turned in three great performances to date and with a clean getaway he should be able to carve across and lead comfortably. Two starts back he really caught the eye when placed narrowly beaten by Indiana Rumble and this race doesn't appear to be much stronger.

Velvet Rumble is an exciting prospect and she had little luck in her debut here last week. Two starts back she set the Lismore track alight with a blistering 24.03 win and if she brought that form to town she would win with ease tonight. The only concern with her is the box draw and she is going to need a few things to go her way early.

Lady Abigail has the good draw and she will be hitting the line strongly, she is still learning to race but from the red she should be able to settle a bit closer to the early speed than she normally would.

Top Four: 8 – 4 – 1 – 7

Spookie's Gift finally put it together here last week and he appears to be the real deal. After beginning well he showed a devastating turn of foot, scoring in a slick 30.01. He has slow beginners drawn on either side tonight so if he can step cleanly he should be able to drive through in the early stages and if he settles in the top two early he will take a power of beating.

Mr. Brand is armed with a big finish and he has been placed in six of his ten tries here, he should be suited to the rails draw and he could be a great dog to anchor for second and third in your exotic bets.

Elusive Desire powered to the line when scoring here last week in 30.07 and if he is given some room in the early stages he will take a power of beating again, the only concern with him is that he is better suited to a wide draw because he does take a few strides to muster speed.

Extremely open race and although he is poorly drawn, Grin And Win probably gets his chance to score tonight. He has been racing in much stronger company of late and if the red can hold them out early he should get a nice run through at the first turn and he should then assume control mid race. He can be unreliable but this is a big drop in class and with an ounce of luck he should score.

Blue Den has the good draw and he has enough speed to hold them out early, he is going to be big odds but if he finds the bunny early he could give a great sight at odds.

Snippy's Dame has a great record here and he should settle near the speed, she has slow beginners drawn on either side so there should be no excuses for her.

Outback Hero has a solid record here and he is rarely far away in this class, I dont think he will win but he is a must for your exotics.

Sheridon has been racing in stellar form over the 600m journey of late and he has been showing enough zip to be competitive over the shorter journey. He does his best racing from wide draws and he has the advantage of having slow beginners drawn on either side, with an even getaway he should settle in the top three early and he should then prove too strong in the run home.

Bremer made his QLD debut here last week and he posted a blistering 29.83 win, if he can reproduce similar sectionals tonight he should really test Sheridon throughout.

Chariot's Offiah is much better than his form reads and if he can step cleanly he could run a big race at nice odds, he does have a brilliant PB here and he just needs to regain some confidence.

Dashing Man is the interesting runner, he is resuming after 10 months off but he was a classy chaser when last in work.

Top Four: 7 – 5 – 3 – 2

Dream River loves racing over this journey and he can show a devastating turn of foot soon after box rise. He has a slow beginner on his outside and Miner's Moss should give him a nice cart across in the early stages. So with a clean getaway he should get all the breaks and every chance to score.

Mister To Us is the run on type in the event and he turned in a big performance to score here last week in 30.22, if he can gain some luck mid race he should be there at the finish.

Coin Of Phrase is a super talent when on song and he is suited to the wide draw, he is also very strong at the end of his races and he likes to scout wide through the turns, so he should be able to avoid bother throughout.

Abby's Fantasy has the speed to lead and she has raced well here of late, her last 40m is a worry but if she gets away mid race she might steal the prize.

Top Four: 6 – 7 – 8 – 3

Kidatee Croc has scored three brilliant wins here over this trip of late and from the red he should hold them out at the first bend and prove too speedy mid-race. His 34.82 win two runs back was highly impressive and a repeat of that effort will see him take home the prize.

Hougenie is probably better suited to a wider draw but she can show early speed in her races and she has a great record over this journey. With a good getaway she should be able to follow the red through early and she will have a nice crack at the lead mid race.

Bon Yeo had no luck in his middle distance debut and I would expect him to show a lot of improvement, he is a promising stayer in the making and he could be the value in the race.

Good Call Paul has the class edge but he is going to need a heap of luck from the middle pin, however if he does get a clear run he will be right there at the end.

Farmer's Gold turned in a monster effort here last week he is drawn to get a nice sit behind the early lead You Can Talk. Four starts back he scored a powerful 29.53 Gosford win and with a similar effort tonight he should take a power of beating, with the speed in the red, this really looks his race.

Flash Reality returned to racing here last week and he didn't have much luck, he was posted wide for most of the trip and he never really had a chance. He would have derived a lot of benefit from that run and he is a big chance to return to form tonight.

You Can Talk has been flying over the shorter journey at Ipswich of late and from the red she should be able to set a cracking pace tonight, her last 50m is a worry but if she gets away mid race she might just steal the cash.

Marlisa is armed with sizzling early speed and she was far from disgraced when placed here last week. From the rails draw she should be able to push through into a prominent position in the early stages and if she holds them out she should be off and gone mid race.

Buenos Cloud has been racing in consistent style and she beat a handy lineup here last week in 30.45, the time wasn't flashy but he had to overcome difficulties mid race and he really powered to the line.

Grim Creeper can be very hard to follow but he is well drawn out wide and he can unleash a monster finish.

Velocity Spice has a sizzling 29.82 PB here and if she can fire to the early lead she will prove hard to stop, if she was drawn closer to the inside she would have been my top pick.

Messidonna Cloud has recorded two top placings here of late and he is drawn to get all the breaks. There is very little speed drawn on his outside so he should get every chance to push through and hold them out at the first turn.

Don't Go Quietly is armed with a big finish and he has been placed in seven of his past eight here, he is going to need some luck mid race but if the gaps open he will prove extremely hard to hold out in the home straight.

Killara has been placed in two of four here and she will hit the line strongly, this is a drop in class for her and if she can step cleanly she should figure prominently throughout.

Texas Tee has the speed to lead and he could be the value, if he can cross and they shuffle up behind he may just pinch a break.
