Very good race to kick off the night and I think the promising Shanghai Lil can get the job done. After showing plenty of talent in the Auction Series, she dropped back to the 431m journey and posted a slick 25.10 victory. She is blessed with explosive early speed and if she can find the early lead she should give a great sight at nice odds.

Norm The Storm is a full brother to Shanghai Lil and he probably has a little more talent overall but he doesn't possess the same early speed. Last week he found plenty of bother in the early stages but he still managed to charge home and record a top placing. If he can gain a clear run in the early stages he should be there at the end.

Black Casper continues to improve and he spaced his rivals when scoring here last time in a brilliant 29.99, he had the red on that occasion so it will be a little tougher tonight but he should continue to work his way through the grades.

Top Four: 6 – 3 – 5 – 4

Indiana Rumble is a faultless beginner and she has been racing in rare form of late. In early January she posted a handy all the way win here in 30.22 and she has since followed that up with two commanding Ipswich wins. She is probably better suited to a rails draw but she should get a nice cart across from the six and seven in the early stages.

Blue I Am had no luck when resuming here last week and he should be able to make amends tonight. Last week he exited the pink draw and he never got a chance to get into the race, from the rails tonight he should be able to push through into a prominent position at the first bend.

Sticka Size is probably the most talented chaser in the event but she is drawn poorly out in box seven, if she can get away cleanly though she can make some type of impact.

Kingsbrae Nelly rounds out the chances, she has won two of three here and her latest was last week in a zippy 30.17.

Stella Nights has always had a heap of ability but she can be a little hard to follow at times. After a string of luckless efforts, she showed last week that she is nearly back to her best when narrowly beaten in here in fast time. The draw isn't great tonight but there is very little speed drawn around her, so she should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first bend.

Hope's Fantasy is dropping considerably in class tonight and she has the speed to cross and lead, she hasn't been a factor in her most recent efforts but with a slow beginner on her outside she should get every chance to drive through early.

Cornelia Jess has been racing in consistent style of late and she must be included in your exotics, she doesn't win very often but she does have a habit of running home into third spot.

Rizzini has solid claims, she is probably drawn inside out but if she happens to find the lure early she might just build up a race winning break mid race.

Jayden Lass has won two of her past three starts in good style and she looks well graded in this company. She is normally just an average beginner but she does possess a nice turn of speed and if she is given room in the first 50m she will get every chance to lead throughout. Her 30.12 PB here would be more than enough to score in this event.

Don't Josh Me is extremely hard to follow but there is no doubting his talent. He has been placed in his three runs since a spell and he should be primed to run out the 520m trip strongly.

Grin And Win struggles to win these days but he has his draw and he should appreciate the drop in class. He has quite a few slow beginners drawn underneath so if he can step fairly he should be able to drive across and settle in the top three or four as they head through the turn.

Melody Serenade is the interesting runner, she is much better than her recent form reads and this is the weakest race she has contested for a while.

Super Velo hasn't had a lot of luck in his two runs from a spell but from the red tonight he should be able to hold them out early and he will be running some serious time on the lure. He has won five races over this journey and they have all been in sub 30 seconds, if you can snag $2.50 or better, that is a great price.

Up The Attitude was far from disgraced when placed here last week and he is armed with a devastating turn of foot. He does his best racing when he can lead and if the favourite happens to miss away he should be there to capitalise.

Whata Nice Size is a promising speedster who has won nine of 14 to date, if he can reproduce his slick 29.89 PB here he will give the favourite a run for his money.

Fabulous Storm must be included in your exotic bets, he will get back early but he is armed with a very strong finish and he can reel off slick sectionals when he gets out into some open space.

Bull Titan continues to improve with every start and he really caught the eye when winning here on Monday in 30.12. Tonight he finds himself in a race which lacks genuine early speed so with an even getaway he should be able to push through and settle in the top two. He appears to be getting stronger all the time and he should get every chance to pinch this race at nice odds.

Senor's Mistress is another who can show early speed in her races and she looks well placed in this company. The box draw hasn't done her any favours but with a slow beginner underneath she should be able to avoid early bother.

Mister To Us has the class factor and he is armed with a big finish, he got way too far back last week and I'm expecting an improved effort tonight.

Thunder Eyes probably is the only other genuine hope, he is another on pacer and he has scored two solid wins here in recent months.

Kulu Cha Ching has turned in four great performances over this journey in recent weeks and she appears to be getting stronger and stronger. Last week she showed blistering early speed and it take the classy Kidatee Croc a long time to reel in. If she can ping away again tonight she should be able to lead again and she might just steal the prize.

Rose Of Galo is all class and she returns to racing after having over six months off. She is in pretty good hands so I'm expecting her to be quite fit and ready for a bold showing.

Benarkin is another talented chaser and he is second up after having over seven months off. He is well placed in the pink draw and he tends to do his best racing over this track and trip, he could be worth a bet if he goes around at silly odds.

Bago Kysam has come up with the good draw and the last time he exited this pin he posted a slick 29.96 win here, if he can hold them out early he will prove hard to reel in.

Very tough race but if the classy Iva Vision is afforded a clear run early he should get the job done. He was very unlucky in a heat of the Richmond Derby last week but prior to that he did resume from a spell with an impressive 29.93 victory here. The box draw doesn't help tonight but he does have great speed and if he can settle in the first half of the field he should prove too strong.

Kidatee Croc is well drawn out wide and he returned to form with a top 29.95 victory here last week. He isn't blessed with a heap of early speed but Miner's Moss should bring him across in the early stages and he just needs to avoid bother to feature.

Fusaichi Kahn can be a little hard to follow but he is a super talent when , he has a great record here and he should get every chance to feature from the good draw.

Bill's Fantasy is a bold front runner and if he found the early lead he should give a nice sight, this is a rise in class for him so maybe place claims appear best.

Buck City is probably better suited to a wider draw but this is the weakest race she has contested for a while and she should have their measure. Four starts back she showed great early speed when posting a commanding 30.52 Ipswich win and if she can repeat that performance she will take a power of beating.

Hollywood Rose Hi can be a little unreliable but he does have plenty of talent. Five starts ago he showed his true ability with an all the way Ipswich win in 30.53, he is having his first look at the track but he should handle himself well.

Kulu Kambalda isn't the worst, he can show early speed at times and he is much better than his form suggests, whilst Gumlow Star appears to be the only other winning prospect. She showed a return to form with a placing here last week and a repeat of that run will see her give this a shake.

Don't Go Quietly was a tad disappointing here last week but he is dropping in class tonight and he does have a great record here. He has been placed in 16 of 21 over this track and trip and with an ounce of luck early he should get every chance to return to the winners list.

Pocahontas finally had some luck in running and she capitalised with a solid 30.94 Ipswich win last time. She is normally a reliable beginner, so if she can find the early lead she may prove hard to reel in.

Mal Rose Hi has plenty of gears but he has struggled in his four tries here, this is a bit of a drop in class tonight so with some luck in running he should be able to feature.

Starlight Blush led early when placed here last week, that was her first 500m run for a while so I'm expecting her to hit the line a lot better tonight.
