Heidi Benz recently captured the Maiden and she should continue on her winning way. She is a very reliable beginner and prior to contesting the series she showed early speed in a top placing here. If she can step away cleanly tonight she should be able to burn to the early lead and she should prove too zippy for her rivals.

Kingsbrae Nelly is an improving type and she caught the eye when placed here last time out. She can be a little hit or miss early but she does muster speed quite well and if she can settle in the top two early she will be there at the end.

Norm The Storm is another highly promising type and he also came through the recent Vince Curry Series. He is probably the most talented chaser in the event, however I dont think he is really suited to the rails draw.

Huckleberry rounds out the chances, he has recorded two solid placings here of late and he could cause an upset if he gets the breaks mid race.

Radley Return continues to show improvement and last time out he capped off a nice run of form with a blistering 30.01 win here. On that occasion he speared the lids and increased his lead with every stride, if he gets away cleanly again he should be able to lead from go to whoa again.

Sandave Drive hit the line solidly in his 30.20 win here last time out and he should be a factor again. His lack of early speed is a concern but he does have good track sense and he only needs some luck mid race to feature.

Double Storm is drawn inside out but he is too good to totally dismiss, last time out he hit the line strongly when placed in good time and he only needs an ounce of luck at the first bend to feature.

Blue I Am is resuming from a short spell and from the pink draw he should be ready to fire first up. He normally shows smart early speed in his races and he has scored some very quick wins in his brief career to date. He is going to be fairly short in this event but in a race which lacks early speed he really does look suited.

Don't Go Quietly is much better than his recent form reads and he should be suited by the drop in class. The middle pin is a bit of a worry but he does muster speed quickly so he should be able to drive through into a prominent position at the first bend.

Waikarie Warrior was a strong 30.43 winner here from this draw recently and with some luck in the first 50m he should be in the mix again.

Gumlow Star is much better than her recent form suggests and with some luck in the first 50m she should run a big race at nice odds. She isn't a great beginner but she has a slow beginner on her outside and that should allow her to get a fairly clear passage in the run to the first turn. If she can balance up in the first three as the head for the back she will prove extremely hard to hold out.

Mal Rose Hi has been placed in seven of his past eight starts and he will be powering home in the closing stages. He is yet to make an impact in three runs here but he is in peak form at present and I would expect him to improve on those stats.

Farmor Eye Am is aiming for a hat trick of wins and she is armed with blistering early speed. I am expecting her to lead them up but I think she will be found wanting in the home straight, so it's best to just include her in your exotic bets.

Waikarie Magic rounds out the chances, she is suited to the wide draw and she has a great record here.

Grand Roman had been struggling for his best form for quite a while but last week he showed that he is slowly returning to his best with a handy placing over this trip. From the red tonight he should be able to push through at the first bend and with the two running cover for him he should be able to zip away mid race.

Super Velo is a gun chaser when on song and he should improve on his luckless run here last time when he was resuming from a spell. He is normally blessed with slick early speed and if he can cross early it should be a matter of times and margins.

Mister To Us is the run on type in the race and he could be a great anchor for second and third in your exotic bets. He has won six of 15 here and if they shuffle up in front he will be there to capitalise at the end.

Line Up Buoys has been racing in explosive fashion here of late over the 395m journey and he looks ready to step up in distance. He has raced well over this journey in the past and he is showing a lot more early zip at present, if he gets away cleanly he should carve across to the early lead and that will allow him to build up a nice break mid race.

Kidatee Croc hasn't had much luck in recent runs but he should show improvement, the middle pin isn't too bad of a draw and this is a big drop in class for him. He will need some luck early but if he gets it he will make an impact.

Birkdale Beauty has the good draw and she should be able to push through into a prominent position early.

Senor's Mistress could be the value, she has been racing well and she appears to be at peak fitness now.

Mullaway is returning to his favourite track and trip and from the red he appears to be a good bet. He is armed with early speed and he has won over this journey previously in a breathtaking 34.62, if he can reproduce something similar he should win with absolute ease.

Fawn Corsair is another with a ridiculous record here, having won seven from seven over this distance range. He is resuming from a spell but he did trial here over 520m recently and he posted an impressive 29.89.

Hougenie has the speed to settle in the top two early and she is never far away in this type of company, I dont think she can cross tonight but she shouldn't be too far away and a top three finish is on the cards.

Sheridon could be the value bet in the race, he is likely to go around over the odds but he is well placed out wide and he too loves racing over this track and trip.

Renatus appears to be a little down on confidence at present but from the red he should be able to settle in the top two or three and that should allow him to gain a clear passage and regain some confidence. A month ago he was flying and he turned in some terrific performances, if he can find that type of form he will be a major player.

Bill's Fantasy is a reliable beginner and he has the ability to lead this field for a long way, this is probably the weakest race he has contested for a while so if he does lead, he might just steal the race.

Spanish Queen is showing plenty of promise and she was a strong 30.15 winner here three runs back, she will need some luck early but if she gets it she could salute at nice odds.

Interesting race and I've decided to go with some value in Chariot's Offiah. He has been well down on form in recent months but I know he is better than that and he won't find an easier race. When he is given clear running he is capable of great things and from the pink draw I think he will be afforded all the breaks.

Sticka Size scored a commanding 30.06 win here two runs back and a similar effort tonight will see her take a power of beating, my only concern with her is that she can be a little hit or miss at box rise.

This Time Reba has the class edge and she continues to race well. Last time out she finished strongly and beat classy lineup here in 30.13.

Blue Tartan is normally a very quick beginner and if he can find the early lead tonight he should make light work of this lineup, he hasn't had a lot of luck in his most recent efforts but those runs were in much stronger company and he should be able to atone tonight.

King Elliot has the speed to settle in the top two early and he should give a great sight, he will get tired in the last 50m but if he gets away mid race he might pinch the event.

Captain Barker should be suited to the wider draw and he has been placed in three of his four tries over this journey. He will settle mid field but he is very strong in the run to the line and he won't find an easier race to win.
