Leg 1 – Wentworth Park – Race 4: Screen Test To Place (Top Two Finish) $2.38
Screen Test is normally a reliable beginner and from the red draw he should be able to find the early lead and regain some much needed confidence. He does his best racing when he can lead and dictate the terms and he hasn't had that luxury in his most recent efforts. This race isn't overly strong so if he finds the top early he should prove very hard to reel in. With the top two finish required he appears to be great value.
Leg 2 – Wentworth Park – Race 5: Entreaty To Place (Top Two Finish) $1.91
Entreaty hasn't won for a little while but she has come up with the good draw and, unlike most of her opposition, she is actually proven over this distance. In recent months she has been taking on some quality stayers and she has been more than competitive. From the red, she should be able to settle just behind Shoulders in the initial stages and from there on she should always be in contention.
Leg 3 – Cranbourne – Race 3: Aston Lydia To Place $1.44
Aston Lydia normally comes out running in her races and she has always done her best racing over this track and trip. Five starts ago she led from go to whoa when posting a slick 17.83 win here and if she can reproduce a similar effort tonight she should just about score. There is a handy chaser in the red, so that's why I have gone with the place option. It might be worthwhile having something straight out on her in a separate bet.
