Brazen Bull doesn't have the best form but he has been racing in much stronger company of late and from the suitable draw, he should be able to regain some confidence and return to form. He isn't the best of beginners but he does muster speed at a rate of knots and with some luck in the first 50m he should be able to settle in the top two or three. He has won here previously in a solid 29.66 and that type of run would see him be more than competitive.
Leg 2 – Sandown Park – Race 9: Zipping Simmo To Place $1.91
Zipping Simmo looks suited in this company and if he can make it through the first turn relatively unscathed, he should take a power of beating. He tends to get back in the early stages of his races but once he can get to the outside and wind up, he is a very powerful chaser and he has a fair bit on this lot talent wise. He is currently great value at the $5.50 mark for the win, so it might be worthwhile backing him separately for the win.
Leg 3 – Sandown Park – Race 12: Scarlett Billy To Place $1.62
Scarlett Billy has been racing solidly without winning in recent weeks and he is due for a change of luck. He is normally fair to begin but he does find himself in a race which lacks genuine early speed, so he should have enough speed to get across and settle in the top two or three. He is quite strong over this distance range and with a fairly clear passage he should figure prominently.
