Leg 1 – Angle park – Race 4: Springvale Bryne To Place (Top Two Finish) $1.83
Springvale Bryne is well drawn in the red and she appears to be a highly promising prospect. She made her debut last week and after showing smart early speed she was headed mid race but she managed to come back and only go down by a length in very fast time. She had no luck in her subsequent run here on Monday night but she should be a lot better for the experience and I am expecting a forward showing in this event. There are a couple of handy ones in the event but with a clean getaway she should finish in the top two.
Leg 2 – The Meadows – Race 9: He's No Jet To Place (Top Two Finish) $2.62
He's No Jet hasn't won for a little while but he has been racing very consistently of late and the wide draw is a big advantage today. He isn't great to begin but he does muster speed quite well and I would expect him to be up outside the leader as they go past the post the first time. There is a good one in the red and he will need to be on his game to beat him, however with a clear passage he should be able to finish second at worst and at $2.62 for the place he appears to be great value.
Leg 3 – Cranbourne – Race 5: Starzar Diamonds To Place $2
Starzar Diamonds has been racing well without winning of late and with a clean getaway tonight she should run another bottler. The wide draw will definitely suit and with the speed in six she should get a nice cart across in the run to the first turn. Her last 30m can be a little suspect but I expect her to be in front mid race and from there she should be able to take home some minor money.
