Leg 1 – Traralgon – Race 7: Audacious Sprite to win @ $1.85
Audacious Sprite is ideally drawn in the red and from the inside he should be able to pounce on the early lead and he is a hard chaser to get past when on the lure. He has the advantage of a wide runner on his outside, so there should be a fair bit of bunching behind him and that should allow him to steal a big break mid race. He is a little short at the $1.85 but he does appear to have a fair bit on these.
Leg 2 – Albion Park – Race 8: Kid Shelleen to place @ $3.75
Kid Shelleen can be a little hard to follow at times but there is no doubting that he has a heap of talent and he looked impressive when returning to form with a strong 22.89 win here. He steps up in class tonight but he has raced well in this grade previously and the wide draw is a big positive. I'm expecting him to match motors with the four and five early and if they bunch up underneath, he might be able to skip away mid race. He is big over's at $21 for the win and the place price is very attractive.
Leg 3 – Richmond – Race 6: Kichiro to place @ $2.25
Kichiro is normally a very reliable beginner and from the inside draw he should be able to fire to the early lead. He has the wide running Lorella Fire on his outside, so he should be able to steal a break as they go past the post the first time. His last 50m isn't great but he has won over this journey previously in solid time and a top three finish appears to be on the cards.
