Greyhound Betting Tips Anzac Day 25th April 2014
Ipswich Greyhounds Race 3 Box 1 Bon Zephyr, 5.57pm
This is a pretty ordinary affair, but I really like Bon Zephyr's chances. His exposed form is nothing to go on but he did win his maiden at Lismore in a heat of their big maiden. Since then he's been pretty disappointing on paper, but he has been a little stiff at times. He's only an average beginner but he does have pretty good mid race pace and if he can get out and hold his position early on the rail, he'll be right there at the end. He's back from a short spell and his trainer Anthony Hess is no doubt working him back up to 500 metre racing.
As long as he starts at fair odds maybe $5.00 he's certainly worth having a go at. The main danger and likely favourite is probably Flash Houdini who won his maiden in 25.55. But if Bon Zephyr goes he's capable of running 25.20 on the lure.
Geelong Greyhounds Race 6 Box 6 Star Doll, 8.48pm
Star Doll has been racing pretty consistently lately but has only managed to get across the line once in her past few and tonight looks another chance for her to cross the line first. Box six will aid her cause and she should jump away with them. Her last start second at Horsham was pretty good when she worked home hard to only get beaten by a whisker. She should jump with them tonight and again start to work around the outside late.
If odds of $5.00 is available I suggest jumping aboard. Box two runner Fourier Bale is the main threat and if he pings and gets to the front I don't think they can run him down. It might pay to take the quinella with these two runners.
Mandurah Greyhounds Race 6 Box 8 Sassy Bullet, 10.17pm
Sassy Bullet is no doubt the class runner of the race. He's been in and out of form lately but cannot be overlooked in this. He's only been unplaced twice here in eleven starts and has won five of those starts. He won he last start from box eight and with the right run tonight he should be able to swoop around the outside and do it again.
Box seven runner Ritza Joe is a big chance if he can cross early. Box one runner Dark Dee also get his chance, and if he can step away on terms or in front he'll take a power of beating too. As long as Sassy Bullet starts at backable odds of $5.00 or more, he's worth the punt.
Best of Luck
