Paperbond has won two of three since returning from a short spell and he should prove too zippy for this lot. He normally pings the lids and he is capable of running time on the bunny like he showed in his most recent win at in 22.74. There isn't a heap of speed drawn underneath so he should be able to cross in the first 50m. Kezza's Spirit could be the value in the event, he should get a nice cart across early and he has been placed in seven of his ten tries here. Unleash De Magic was a last start Goulbourn winner in a dazzling 19.67 and if he gets away cleanly he should be in the mix again. Breeze Magic rounds out the chances, he is very hit or miss at box rise but he has a slick 22.67 PB here and a repeat of that effort would give him a big chance.

Top Four: 4 – 5 – 6 – 2

Mighty Hurricane loves racing over this track and trip and he should appreciate the drop in class tonight. He normally steps well but his biggest asset is his turn of foot soon after box rise. If he can get a little room in the first 40m or so he should be able to burn to the early lead and it's hard to see him getting run down. Jay Are Kay turned in a strong performance when placed here last time and he should be hitting the line hard again. He has a heap of talent but his poor box manners always make things difficult for him. Pyjamarama will settle on the speed and she has been racing well. Two starts ago she led for a long way when placed behind the class Logan John and a repeat of that effort will see her be a major player again.
