Greyhound Betting Tips For Sunday 3rd March 2013

Fantastic night of racing last night and certainly one we are sure to remember for a long time.

What a effort General Destini put in to barely claim the Group 1 Superstayers crown. Full credit to the dog and what a mighty chaser he proved himself to be. I honestly gave him no chance of running down the leading divison, rounding the home turn, let alone super stayer and fellow 1 Winner . To my surprise, he did exactly that and claimed the winners of $100,000.

Spud Regis, the newly crowned Australian Cup winner was simply superb. The Andrea Daily trained black chaser shanghaied out of box 1 and gave nothing else a chance stoping the clock in a very fast 29.63 and collecting the massive winners cheque of $250,000. From the moment he landed in front he never looked in any danger of being run down and by winning proved what a tremendous young dog he is taking his career earnings to just under $400,000! Wow.

Last night was a wonderful night and we finally achieved the clean sweep of winners we so desired. I actually had two other selections Gate Crash, and Agent Dunham who both won also, but I may have deleted them by mistake.

    Yesterday's Results:
  • Scout's Gold Winner $4.00
  • General Destini Winner $2.10
  • Spud Regis Winner $2.90

Lets hope todays selections can emulate last nights and all win

Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 7 Dramatic Miss 7.00 pm QLD time

I've struggled a little to find something worthy of backing here today, they are all such a even ordinary bunch, but Dramatic Miss looks worthy of a mention and should have no trouble disposing of these. She's a member of a very good litter which includes some fast chasers, none more so then the excitement machine Top Story. Dramatic Miss has her own share of ability and is carving out a great record of her own, having started 9 times for, 4 wins and 2 seconds; and looks set to bring up win number 5 here today. I consider her to be quite a moody bitch, that can sometimes leave her racing prowess at home; but she has drawn well here in box 6 and begins very fast. She should jump straight to the front here, and carve out good sectionals to set her self up for a win here. Slim chance of and of the others challenging her, and with clear running she looks all over the winner.

Gawler Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Grand Slam Sam 8.04 pm Vic time

Tough race here with really nothing of quality engaged. Grand Slam Sam has drawn a great box, but is quite a slow beginner and relies on luck in her races, but she is quite strong and does find the line very well. She needs to find a way to stay in touch early and she may have to execute her best jump here. She needs slow pace and thankfully there is very little in this event today. If they jam up or she stays in touch early she might run over the top of these. Her main danger is Aston Ablett, and he can begin well and put himself in this early. He has the ability to win this but is a little unreliable, and that has cost him in the past. If he jumps and Grand Slam Sam doesn't stay in touch early, he could hold her off in the run to the line. Each Way Bet.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Broadacres 4.04 pm Vic time

This bloke has a PB of 29.95 here but he is certainly able to go much quicker then that. With a clear run and solid start this dog should easily get around the 29.60 mark, a time that looks unachievable by his rivals. He's a good beginner who can carve out good time when on the bunny, and should have no trouble doing that here today. Forget his last couple of starts where he has drawn wide boxes and at no stage gotten into the race. He looks perfectly suited to the inside draw and the litter are going quite well. He should develop into a handy dog and based on that he should be winning this today.

Sale Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1 Good Itch 6.56 pm Vic time

Good Itch should be able to turn the tables on last weeks selection Salegreys Power from the better box. She was unlucky to have been run down last week and will be much improved by the run. She should lead the field from the inside box, and the rest of the field look as if they will begin as one. This will make it very hard for her main dangers to get across early to challenge. She should be able to reproduce last weeks effort, and that should be enough to win this race against a harder field here tonight. Seldom do they go quicker in a final then the heat and my money is on her to defeat these here today.

Thats about all I could come up with today but they all look to be great chances and Grand Slam Sam, should easily be the best value of our selections here today.

Sunday is always a tough day of racing, and not a day where we see the cream of the crop race; but all in all theres still plenty of racing around the country and no doubt something will pop up for us to have our hard earned on in the future.

Best of Luck.
