Greyhound Betting Tips For Thursday 20th June 2013

It's a big night of racing at Albion Park here in the Sunshine State tonight with the running of the Superstayers – a 4 Dog race over the testing 710m journey. It aims to put 4 of Australia's best and fastest chasers together for a trouble free 4 dog showdown.

In years gone by its been quite a spectacle and one in which was highly anticipated, but over the last couple of years I believe the shine has been taken away from the race; with the BGRC failing to attract the cream of the crop. I'm sure all Greyhound fans enjoy the concept and no doubt most will tune in to see the unique once a year event. The lids fly open at 9.08pm

The are also running a unique promotion to support the Soccerroos making the Brazilian World Cup. If any runner in the Australian colors Green or Gold win, then they will shout the entire bar – that's boxes 5 or 6. So get along and enjoy a coldie on the house!!

The 4 Talented chasers are:

Box 1 Mrs. Thursday

Bombastic Shiraz- Nikita Grove.
$24,535
13 Starts 5-0-7
Best Time 41.97
The baby of the field, and one of the most promising stayers QLD has. Last start she almost pinched the Albion Park , just getting run down on the line by 4 Time Group 1 Winner Destini Fireball and tonight's favourite runner Bell Haven. She should position herself 3.5 lengths behind early leader Bogie Dawn, and just in front of Starliner. I can see her finding the lead passing the 710m boxes and will have to fight off the late charge of Bell Haven. If she improves 4 lengths on last weeks run, she's going to be mighty hard to beat.

Box 3 Starliner

Pure Octane- Borgata
$ 80,909
41 starts 21-8-5
Best time 42.25
The Iron dog of the race with a sensational rate. He's a brilliant honest chaser, who's doesn't know how to run a bad race. Hasn't set the track alight as yet over the 710 but did run the quickset of the Gold cup heats, on a slow track. He seems to have settled in to the staying trip now, and certainly has the ability to win this. But he's probably lacking that sheer brilliance. He deserves his spot and will probably have to settle behind Mrs. Thursday early on. But that don't mean he can't run over the top of her, he was finishing hard in the Gold Cup. With another 710m run under his collar, he may be able to find that extra few lengths here tonight.

Box 5 Bogie Dawn

- Bogie Skye
$ 36,113
Starts 36 11-5-6
Best Time 42.32
This girl has certainly been the surprise packet. From winning two 520m races, to winning 2 710m races. One of them coming in the feature Winter Chase at huge odds of $19.60. She's going to take up the early lead, and will likely skip away a few lengths; but she can't break 42.00 and will need a mammoth effort to defeat these here. She will be winning the race at some stage but can't possible cross the line in first.

Box 7 Bell Haven

Head Bound- It's A She.
$ 248,485
Starts 55 24-14-2
Best Time 41.97
The pride of the Apple Isle, Bell Haven will start the favourite and is the likely winner. She's a powerhouse chaser who will be perfectly suited by the 4 dog field.She should position herself a length or two behind Starliner at the rear, and come with a booming finish down the outside. With a good track she's quite capable of running 41.70 and expect her to go very close to that tonight. She'll jump 4th and finish first.

Selections:
1st – Bell Haven
2nd – Mrs. Thursday
3rd – Starliner
4th – Bogie Dawn

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 3 Box 3 Pharmacopia, 7.22pm

This bloke was unable to lead he last week and subsequently feeds out of contention. But tonight he shouldn't have as much trouble leading, and he should find the front and lead all way. The home bred son of has been in great form and recently posted a flying 30.08 here. With his best jump he looks might hard to beat here tonight.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 6 Kalden Mayhem 10.05pm

There's no value in tipping the dog who tips himself; but we are going to have a go at picking the first 4 in order. Kalden Mayhem picks himself, but it's quite astonishing that the Oct 08 dog is still winning and running only 2 lengths outside his best time. A winner of 53 races, the son of is defying age and is still a near unbeatable commodity in South Australia. Cousin Callum also has a blistering PB and he should be the dog punters need for second, Azz Always and Miss Woods for 3rd, and Azz Allways Miss Woods and Mclaren Grace for 4th. First 4: 6-2-48-348

Dapto Greyhounds Race 8 Box 7 Supercell, 9.58pm

Speed machine looks the winner here with a safe start. He's quite capable of running very quick times when on song. Amazon Lizard could be the main danger if, he pings and finds the lead from the get go. He won't come from behind and does need to lead clearly. Box 7 will suit Supercell and he does seem to jump much better here then anywhere else. He has a best time of 29.85 but I think he's able to go quicker. Maybe around the 29.70 mark, and none of these will get near him if he finds the front and runs this. Don't take anything under $2.90.

Hobart Greyhounds Race 5 Box 1 Happy Tiger, 8.41pm

Perfectly boxed Happy Tiger will take a power of beating if he can get forward early on. He's got a huge motor but slow beginnings do cost him alot of races. When he happens to draw a good box he always puts himself into the race. Punters the 599m start at doesn't favor slow beginners. So I suggest only jumping on at fair odds, of $5.00. If he gets around the first turn up the front watch for him to unleash a big run up the inside early in the peace. Big chance but not at silly odds. The experienced Tadmore Dunoon looks the main danger, and he's racing very well at present.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 3 Aeroplane Eddie, 7.44pm

Tonight's best bet is the super talented Aeroplane Eddie. He's really starting to put things together and looks a moral in this here tonight. He should jump and lead here and there's no way he will get run down of he does. The son of Velocettee has an employing record and will simply be far too good for a average bunch here tonight. The more you put on the more you get back.

Best of luck
