Greyhound Betting Tips Thursday 3rd April

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 9 Box 1 Flick Pass 9:34 PM

The trained son of looks to be a great bet here tonight from box one. His form doesn't read all that well, but he has been up against better quality dogs and raced from wider boxes. He's been a little disappointing of late since returning from Sydney where he was given the chance to qualify for the series. Unfortunately on that occasion he was unlucky and finished third from an outside box. While he hasn't been in winning form of late, he has been around the mark and from box one tonight we should see a much improved performance.

He has a best winning time here of 30.04, and with a quick getaway and a little bit of luck early on we should see the son of Surf Lorian go close to that time. He has a couple of average beginners on his outside and this should allow him to come away from the boxes well and work forward early. He is quite strong and once in a forward position, expect him to be winding up in the mid stages of the race and looking to run over the top of these in the run to the line.

The main danger in the race is the talented Jungle Junction. She began fast last week and looked to be heading towards the lead before dropping out and finishing a distant sixth. If she can jump again this week and find the front clearly she should be very hard to beat. Okay Yetta from box eight looks to be the only other winning hope, but she will have to tough from an outside draw.

Stick with Flick Pass and look for odds around the $4.00 to $5.00 mark at Sportingbet. Great chance to deposit $30 and get $100 worth of free bets..
Punters looking to take exotics could try anchoring Flick Pass from boxes 2,3,6,8.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 7 Box 6 Mr. Donatello, 9.22pm

This looks a really good quality betting race tonight with three winning hopes. Mr. Donatello, Stop Scrammin and Suntory Gold all get their chance to win. Mr Donatello is the likely leader and should fire out from the outside and find the top. He was excellent in winning here last week when things didn't go his way.

Stop Scrammin and Suntory Gold will both be spotting Mr Donatello an early lead and it doesn't look possible that they can run him down if he finds the top from the get go. The only concern here is that he has been coming away slowly from the boxes. And if he does happen to miss it tonight he will need to show great pace to get around the outside. But box six looks perfect for him and expect him to be leading all the way.

If Mr Donatello does happen to find trouble then Suntory Gold and Stop Scramming will be finishing hard and look the only others likely to to win. Dyna Quilton gets his chance from the red, but he's very unreliable and needs it easier.

Stick with Mr Donatello to win from Stop Scramming and Suntory Gold for the placings.

Dapto Greyhounds Race 9 Box 4 Lemon Aid 10.22pm

I'm not a fan of betting in maiden races, but Lemon Aid gets his best chance yet to break his maiden. He has been very consistent in his past few starts and is working his way up to a win. Box four makes life a little difficult, but he should be able to jump away well and navigate his way in behind them early on. In his last four starts he has run four placings from different boxes, so I doubt the middle box will cause him too much grief. He has a best time of 30.56 and that will be good enough here tonight to win.

The son of has a great record here for five starts with three seconds an a third The rest of the field look very poor and it's hard to find something that can beat him.

Don't go taking odds on about Lemon Aid shop around and try to find at least $2.50 to $3.00. Maiden races are never easy but this looks a great betting race, so anchor Lemon Aid from a few that you like and hope for value at Sportsbet. Great chance to take abvantage of the $250 in free bets.

Hobart Greyhounds Race 8 Box 2 Blue Havilah, 10.08pm

This is the right sort of race here for Blue Havilah to win after winning three starts back at in fair time. He has recorded a fast 26.19 here and a repeat of that will see him win this by a couple of lengths. If he is able to jump and get forward early he should find the bunny and once on the bunny I doubt they can run him down. Box two isn't ideal, as he does try to track a little bit wide, but he has enough pace to clear them and give himself enough room to move off the track.

Box eight runner Hello Benny is the main danger but he sort of struggles to win. He has had his chance in his past few starts to win, but hasn't been able to get across the line first. Box eight makes life tough as he only gets away ordinary and will need to wind up mid race. Aston Fury in box four did something amazing last week, moving to the extreme outside fence from box eight. Consequently he ran far too wide and was unable to make up the ground, he could pose a problem for the dogs on his outside.

Blue Havilah ticks all the boxes and looks great bet here tonight.

Sandown Greyhounds Race 7 Box 5 Jewel Bale, 9.11pm

Jewel Bale made her long-awaited debut over the longer 595 metre journey here last week. She was brilliant in running second and was only narrowly beaten by half a length by Allen Eryk. Unfortunately she has drawn box five again and that makes life tough, but the daughter of Surf Lorian looks a very talented type. She has enough pace to jump away from the middle boxes and find herself in a forward position. If she's able to get clear and find room to move I expect her to be mighty hard to beat. She should improve on last week's effort and box five should see her start at fair price.

The obvious danger is Campaspe Will, who has been flying recently. He should exit box one very quickly and find the bunny from the get go and he'll be very hard to stop if he runs out the 595 meter journey.

Jewel Bale looks the value and I expect her to start around $4.00 to $5.00 and she looks a great each way bet, and no matter what she does tonight she will improve on it again next week, so keep following her.

Best of Luck
