Greyhound Betting Tips Tuesday 22nd April

Last nights selections netted two winners, Painted Dotty at and Ducktail Jiver at . Ducktail Jiver won nicely after missing the start but most surprising was the ridiculous price he was fixed price. I found him at odds of $10.00 with one organisation and Tatts bet had him at $9.00. I was astonished at this price, as I was confident he had a 50-50 chance of winning, and thought id be luck to get odds of $4.00. Punters who took the tip may have also got some of the whopping $177 first four on the S-tab tote which was simple to get.

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 9 Box 8 Señorita Rapido, 6.34pm

The Col Byers trained and owned daughter of El Grand Señor looks a huge chance here tonight. Box eight can be a bit tricky and her overall winning record and best time here, are only fair, but she gets her chance in this race. It's a tricky affair with the talented Lightning Impact in box three, he sustained a serious injury a while back now and hasn't been anywhere near his best since. He may start as one the fancies, but I'm prepared to avoid him here.

Box four Lacey Lou can really motor but she's unreliable and punters can back her at own risk. If she's right and performs to her best she can win. However I'll stick with Señorita who I think can get across from the eight and get the fly early. She's capable of running 25.20 on the bunny and it looks likely she can get across with her best jump. Punters should be able to find odds of $4.00- $5.00 and I suggest backing her and roving her into your multiples.

Lismore Greyhounds Race 2 Box 3 Glenzinnis Clan, 7.05pm

It might be worth having a go a Glenzinnis Clan here tonight if the right odds can be sort. He's a pretty handy dog but since returning from a injury a long while back he hasn't been the same dog. I've backed him a few times lately and been a little disappointed, but I'll give him here tonight in this open affair. Most of these are of the track and the majority are racing poorly. Tee Brady is the class runner and has been competing against the country's best of recent times in the , but he doesn't go all that well here and will be far to short to back.

The value runner will be Glenzinnis Clan and he can find the rail early in this to put himself right in it. It's likely he can rail up under boxes one and two and if he finds himself forward early he'll be there in the run to the line. He's a strong runner but will need his fair share of luck at the same time. If Tee Brady doesn't cross them early it's unlikely he can win and this will most certainly open up the race. Box six runner Bogan Girl can't be underestimated and it's worth having a bet on her also. With the right run she could be the knockout dog, big chance.

Back both runners eachway and box up with Tee Brady in exactas.

Mandurah Greyhounds Race 7 Box 2 Elephant Gun 10.05pm

This fellow looks the bet of the night at tonight. It's likely he'll start the favourite, but he deserves that, and if even money is about I suggest you back him for enough profit to cover a banker trifecta. Elephant Gun ran a flying 27.39 four starts back when he was able to come away and steer clear of trouble from the beginning. He should have no trouble doing that again here tonight and he looks the winner. Punters taking exotics could try anchoring Elephant Gun from runners 1,3,6,7 in a trifecta.

Box six runner Star Cosmic will start the second favourite but from box six in this field he could be risky. If he misses out on a place and two of the other three selections run the trifecta value may be had.

2-1,3,6,7 is my suggested trifecta and first four bet. $12.00 for 100% of the trifecta and $24.00 for 100% of the first four.

Warragul Greyhounds Race 5 Box 3 Forensics, 8.08pm

This is no easy race, with probably four solid winning chances. Boxes 2,3,5,8 all look capable of winning this. I'm going to back Forensics, he's been going well lately and has the speed to get out and lead his other main rivals. The son of posses a big motor and can run time up to 450 metres. He's a pretty tough chaser and once on the bunny he can lead all the way. His chances though hinge on him leading early.

Deadly Clear owned by race caller James Van der Maat is another solid threat and looks suited to the outside, but he's not racing at his best. However, he does look to be building back up to winning form, so have something on him also.

Punters looking to take exotics could try boxing up runners 2,3,5,8 in a trifecta $24.00 for 100%.

Best of luck
