Leg 1 – Angle Park – Race 9: Here Comes Henry To Win $1.80
Here Comes Henry has continued to improve with every run over this distance and from the favourable pink draw tonight he should be able to settle in the top two early and I would expect him to finish too strong in the run home. Last time out he was able to lead all the way and post an impressive 43.52, a similar effort tonight will see him win with considerable ease and the $1.80 appears to be pinching money.
Leg 2 – Shepparton – Race 7: Ultima Bale To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $1.53
Ultima Bale is an absolute beast when on song and with an ounce of luck early he should be right in the mix at the business end. He can be a little suspect at box rise, however he does muster speed quickly and with the empty draw underneath he should get a fairly clear passage in the initial stages. He returned to his best last time with a slick 22.66 Geelong win and he looks to have a fair bit on his rivals. He is a nice bet at $2.70 for the win but I think the top two finish option is a lot safer just in case he encounters some trouble in the first 50m.
Leg 3 – Albion Park – Race 10: El Capo To Win $1.85
El Capo is currently racing in dazzling form and from the red draw he appears to be a moral. Last time out he speared the lids and was able to lead all the way when scoring at Ipswich in a sizzling 30.50. He has won four of 11 here previously and he does own a smart 30.07 PB, this time round he is a lot better and if he finds the top early he should be able to get down to the 29.90 mark.
