Race 1: Vidi Vici
Vidi Vici is a highly promising speedster and he is drawn to break through tonight. He has begun well in each of his three starts to date, but each time he has been knocked over soon after. From the red he should step well again and that should allow him to drive through and assume control at the first turn. He has recorded a sizzling 29.95 in a trial here and if he cites the lure tonight I can't see any of his opponents getting near him. You should get around the even money quote and that appears to be a good price.

Race 8: Kurmond Goddess
Kurmond Goddess is a class act on her night and she should appreciate the step up in distance tonight. In recent weeks she has been taking on the state's best sprinters at Wentworth Park and she hasn't had a lot of luck in those efforts. With slow beginners on either side tonight she should be able to settle in the top two or three early and she should be there at the end. She is currently $15 with William Hill and that is enormous overs.

Race 1: He's A Villian
He's A Villian is a very fast chaser on his night and he appears well placed in this lineup. He doesn't have a heap of early speed but he does muster pace quickly in his races and if he can push through and balance up in the first four early he should make his presence felt. There are a couple of front runners in this race who are suspect at the journey, so with a clear passage he should be able to pick them off late and at $8 he appears to be well over the odds.

Race 4: 1 to rove with 2,7,8 ($3 for 100%)
Asa Hard Knox is ideally drawn and with an ounce of luck early he should be leading all the way. Takahi John and Road Angel can both show early speed and they should be in the mix for most of the trip, whilst Tonight Tonight will rip home late and if he is close enough mid race he could sneak into the quinella spot.
