Greyhound Racing Tips For Australia Day 2013

It's today, and theirs no better way to celebrate then with a nice big juicy collect on one of our many tips.
With meetings at the Meadows, Wentworth park, Cannington and a whole lot more support meetings throughout.

Best get my thinking cap on and sort out a few WINNERS!

Don't forget to take advantage of one of our many free bet offers. Theirs nothing better then something for FREE on Australia day!!

We managed to find a nice collect yesterday with Poor Mans Boots saluting at casino at the crisp odds of $4.00 on the QLD tote. And hopefully you all have a nice little bank to back up here tonight with.

A BIG congratulations must also go out to good mate and trainer Jay Hauritz of QLD who made the trip down across the border to Casino with his beloved charge in Our Viking, who led from go to woa in only his third win in the 620m staying event. Not only did Jay collect the winners cheque of $1400 but he was also lucky enough to have drawn the JACKPOT dog and take home a further $3400 to add the the kitty.

Just remember punters quite often the jackpot dog happens to find a way to salute. In the same way some people also believe in backing the reserves, when they gain a start.

So if your struggling to back a winner guys and happen to hear that elusive jackpot dog pop up, don't forget to have a little saver on it, you just never know..

Wentworth Park. Race 5 Box 5. Back Page Lead. 9.07 NSW time

Former Apple isle chaser in Lead lines up here after her recent placing in the summer cup behind The Bate trained Irma Bale. She's dropping enormously in grade here and certainly looks the on top pick. Has the early speed to hit the front and race right away with this event. The others around her are no slouches but she's racing in fine form and only needs to continue to do so here to be really hard to beat. Should roll to the front and collect the winners cheque here for Steven White, Of Pau To Burn fame.

The Meadows. Race 2. Box 5 Tweak. 7.35 Vic Time

The very fast Tweak lines up here after posting a very quick 29.89 here 5 starts ago from the same box. Not too sure what to make of this fellow, he's by the great Irish sire in College Causeway, and certainly has the wood on these here. But There seems to be two of this bloke! but if he decides to turn up tonight he should be too good for this lot. He should have no trouble from the 5 box, he has the early toe to lead and if he does what he should then this bloke will be first past the post. Keep an eye on this guy, Should be better things to come from him.

Cannington Greyhounds. Race 1. Box 6. Saving Bundles. 7.05pm WA time

WA's leading trainer Linda Britton has her super little bitch And Cup winner Saving Bundles engaged here. After last weeks effort I'm going to have to select her. After being slowly away and near the rear here last week she made an incredible mid race move to put herself in a winning position, to only just get beat by her kennel mate in Super Earner. It was a super effort and I think based on that run she's the on top selection here. She's certainly got some stiff opposition with the talented Tony's Favourite exiting box 8, who only two starts ago stopped the clock at a very slick 30.35. But with a little going her way she may just be too good here.

Cannington Greyhounds. Race 3. Box 1. Hot Irish 7.50pm WA time

Well this one picks herself here and she's nearly as good of a thing as the superstar Black Caviar is in a mid week maiden!! She just continues to keep getting the job done! And once again she's drawn the red, where she's yet to be beaten from here at Cannington. She's better than bank interest! With the heats of the next week she's sure to be at her absolute best and notch up another first next to her name.

Richmond Greyhounds. Race. 10 Box 2 Seldom Said. 10.04 pm NSW time

Big chance here given to the Money Dog Seldom Said. Formerly prepared by owner trainer Jamie Mchugh of Logan Village in Qld. And now having a stint in NSW with trainer . This bloke oozes class and has a fantastic record to boot. He's been their and done that winning the Molly Campbell Silver Dollar and runner up in the . Along with many other feature races. And I can't see this lot beating him. Has fantastic early toe and the drop in distance will not worry this bloke. Has real genuine speed and can certainly run the hands of the clock here. Put in a “had to be seen to be believed effort” over the shorts at Cranbourne one time, Coming from last to first. And This is certainly firm within his grasp,
Should be passing the line first against these. Great bet and hopefully at a reasonable price.

Big night of racing tonight with the focus being the Perth Cup preludes, which will lead us into the heats of the Perth cup in the next couple of weeks. Where theirs sure to be some of Australia's beat chasers lining up all vying for the the title of Group 1 Perth Cup winner of 2013.

's champion heads over and after posting the 4th fastest time ever in last years heat, and he's sure to be hard to beat again. He really relishes the big track and I'm looking forward to him going around. While there's certainly going to be a host of other chances all making the journey across to Take on Glen Gallon. And let's not forget the best local hope in tonight's selection Hot Irish.

Best of luck to all, but most of all. Enjoy our great day in Australia Day!
