Greyhound Racing Tips For Friday 1st February 2013

. And Futurity semi's to be run and won at the Gardens today.

Sheikha, the recent , winner headlines the cards here owned partly by Sky presenter Peter Davis, and trained by . She comes into today's Futurity semi final after collecting the $100 thousand to the winners , last start at Wentworth Park. And certainly has drawn perfectly again here. It'll be a huge day for the Gardens with the semi finals of both the National Derby and Futurity being run.

There was some racing last week here, and also unfortunately some tragedy. I'm sure today's card will prove no different with some fantastic dogs all competing to win their respective semi finals.

Let's hope we see some quick times posted, and hopefully a new . Punch One Out got close last week, will today be the day for the Knocka Norris – chaser. Who knows?

Albion Park Greyhounds. Race 5 Box 1 Wag Tail. 4.17pm QLD time

The Christian Apap trained Wag Tail debuts over the 600 here at Albion. She's drawn the red and looks certain to handle the trip. Has been getting home really hard over the 500 and 600 should pose no problems. Fleetwood girl also gains a start here from the reserve box, box 2. She's the danger to Wag Tail she also gets home very hard over the 500. Which ever of the two leads the other, I believe will win. I'm going with Wag Tail from the rails draw. But It will be a competitive contest between the two.

Geelong Greyhounds. Race 6. Box 8 Tapper Jean Girl. 8.48 Vic time

The daughter of El Galo is flying at present. And I see no reason why that will stop here tonight. She begins like a BOMB, and should again do the same, lead and win! There's a little speed from the inside boxes but that should pose no problem to her here. She has posted best of the night figures in 3 of her last 5 starts. And theirs no way to fault her form. Just keeps on winning for mine…

The Gardens Greyhounds. Race 8 box 1 Punch One Out. 6.07pm Nsw time

I gave you guys the tip last week with Punch One Out. By golly did she FLY!! I was not the least surprised by the time, but i was shocked with the price!! I tipped you guys into the quinella last week with Wong Way Susie and she let us down, putting in a shocker!! I truly believed there would be little difference between the two in price and hence the reason I picked the quinella. But when I saw the price for PWO, I could not get to the computer quick enough!!!! She paid fantastic! So we're sticking with her here again. Not too concerned about her drawing the red. She just needs a few strides to get going and as long as she can from the inside she'll win this. The 2 dog might pose a little problem but with clear galloping room around the first corner, this bitch will once again unleash and race right away here. Massive Chance!

Wentworth Park Greyhounds. Race 1 Box 1. Spring Liberty. 7.19pm Nsw time

Spring Liberty from the red box looks the likely winner here tonight. Has a huge motor when he's able to gain clear running. And is classes above these. I'm a fan of the inside boxes at Wenty, but the dog also needs to be able to use it. He shouldn't get to cluttered up here and only needs a clear path to take care of this lot.

Casino Greyhounds. Race 2 Box 3 Bralyn Bop Bop. 12.47pm Nsw time

The strangely named Brad Northfield trained Bralyn Bop Bop is my selection here. I heard she got the Bop Bop part from brads Grandson. Who refers to his grandfather as bop bop instead of pop pop. Has posted very quick times at Lismore and is sure to be well schooled around here. Didn't begin all that well last start here and was chopped out shortly after. Should benefit here by drawing closer in, and if she can get away early I think she can salute here. The 1 and 7 are the dangers but she's only gotta beat them out, to beat them home. And rarely a goes by without “BOP BOP” collecting a winners Cheque!!

Good luck.
