Greyhound Racing Tips For Friday 8th February 2013

National Derby. And Futurity semi’s to be run and won at the Gardens today.

Last night Thursday, didn’t turn out all that bad after I held little hope. However we found a couple of nice collects and unfortunately I did not make the movies. But lucky for me we found a couple to back and they did the job. None more so then Fiery who flew the lids and led!!! Running a super smart 29.30 at Sandown. Once he led it was all over.

Today will be a big day of racing at the Gardens with the semi finals of both the National Derby and Futurity being run. There was some sensational racing last week here, and also unfortunately some tragedy. I’m sure today’s card will prove no different with some fantastic dogs all competing to win their respective semi finals.

Let’s hope we see some quick times posted, and hopefully a new Track Record. Punch One Out got close last week. Will today be the day for the Knocka NorrisLittle Egyptian chaser. Who knows?

The Gardens Greyhounds. Race 8 Box 1 Punch One Out. 6.07pm Nsw time

I gave you guys the tip last week with Punch One Out. By golly did she FLY!! I was not the least surprised by the time, but i was shocked with the price!! I tipped you guys into the quinella last week with Wong Way Susie and she let us down, putting in a shocker!! I truly believed there would be little difference between the two in price and hence the reason I picked the quinella. But when I saw the price for PWO, I could not get to the computer quick enough!!!! She paid fantastic!

So we’re sticking with her here again. Not too concerned about her drawing the red. She just needs a few strides to get going and as long as she can do that from the inside she’ll win this. The 2 dog might pose a little problem but with clear galloping room around the first corner, this bitch will once again unleash and race right away here. Massive Chance!

8 Heats of the Vince Curry Maiden today at Ipswich. And Steel Fixer was easily the quickest qualifier.

However I’m not going to select a runner in the heats although the Qualies threw up some nice types. We will wait and select something after today.

Ipswich Greyhounds. Race 9 Box 5 Jettas Girl. 5.34pm Qld time. & Race 10. Box 1 Benarkin 5.57pm

The Tony Brett pair look to be complete stand outs for today events. Both will start very short, but both have miles and miles on the rest. Jetta’s girl flew last start at Albion running 22.63 and looks set to fly here again today. Has already won over the 520 at Albion in 30.00 and has had no trouble coming back in distance. Tony’s dogs are generally really well schooled around Ipswich and with a clean start it’s all over here.

Benarkin is going to be a serious contender among the staying ranks in The near future, but still looks a good thing over the 520 while in low grade races. And this is certainly the type of opposition he can beat yet again. Won very well last week at Albion where we tipped him.

Has once again drawn the red and it won’t suit but like I said last time if he gets clear galloping room, he only needs to run his sectionals to give this lot win burn.

The 8 dog Audacious Miss. Is the main danger but he looks to have to much class on her also. He won’t want to spot here more then 7 down the back. So its important he gets around the first turn trouble free. If he does he wins.

Now how do we get a profit on two odds on pop’s. Well we take a all up with one of our many sponsors. This should see you able to double your money. As both dogs will start very short. Good luck.

Casino Greyhounds. Race 4 Box 4 Bralyn Bop Bop. 1.04pm Nsw time

Once again were tipping Bop Bop’s Dog. A.K.A, Brad Northfield, here today. It’s unlike Brads dogs to not go real well at Casino but a couple of his young ones struggled last week after flying at Lismore. But we going to have another shot at Bralyn Bop Bop here. Has drawn a field that lacks depth and is a little easier then last weeks race she competed in. Needs to begin as most dogs do at Casino but if she does, she’ll win this. Simply equation = She Begins, She Wins.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 1 Box 2 Midnight Rush. 7.58pm

Well after tipping Midnight Rush at Dapto and him putting in a shocker I’m reluctant to too him again. But I can’t go past him here. Has posted a flying 29.66 at Dapto and if he can run anywhere near that tonight he should flog these. Has come up with an inside box and should do one of two things. Either jump and lead, or sit right on the hammer of Screaming Bikini. Has a huge motor and if he is able to use it tonight he will win. Whether its from behind or from the get go he’ll have his chance to win tonight. Last Chance.

Gawler Greyhounds. Race 8 Box 2 Biagi Jewel. 3.32pm Vic time

Looks to be a race among 3 runners. The inside 3 here. Biagi Jewel is a well travelled bitch having raced in 3 states. Has the early toe too lead these and should he able to go much quicker then the 1 dogs best time. And I expect her to run about the same PB as the 3 dogs 31.09. She should be able to position herself in front of the 3 early and then this only leaves the 1 to contend with. If she doesn’t lead Stone Cold Casey then she should be able too pass her down the back. Hopefully she has a few lengths head start coming around the home turn and if she does this, it should see her hold of the fast finishing Rushin’ Maid. 2 to win 1-3 placings.

Well hopefully were have found you some winners here today.

Best of Luck
