Greyhound Racing Tips for Monday 6th July 2009

Welcome to Australian Racing Greyhound's free Greyhound Racing Tips for Monday 6th July 2009 with Tips tonight from (Victoria), (New South Wales), (Queensland) and Angle Park (New South Wales).

What a huge night for our followers on Saturday. We offered up 7 expert greyhound tips and 3 of them found the line first, with our expert tip in the Group 2 Bob Payne Winter Stake final bolting in and paying over $18 on , $11 at Iasbet and Centrebet, $13 at Sportsbet and Sportingbet.

With racing tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland) and Angle Park (New South Wales), lets just review some of our betting advice for the way those tracks play.

Cranbourne races over the 311m, 520m and 699m distances. Punters should stay away from the 311m races as a short run to the first corner cause unpredictable results and leaders usually win. Box 8 is a huge advantage in these races.

The 520m distance runs more consistently and the track show a more normal distribution of the four “bookend” boxes performing best. The 699m races are run infrequently and usually contain one standout selection.

Wentworth Park went from being a very fair track to a leader biased track with the addition of “transition turns” to the corners in the mid 90's. Leaders have been advantaged ever since that track modification and consequently red box draws are small advantage over both the 520m and 720m distances now.

Albion Park was the first track in Australia to move to the finish-on lure system and it is definitely the better of the two Queensland TAB tracks. A lack of depth in a lot of races can cause upsets at Albion Park when favourites are over-rated or suffer interference. Tread warily when betting on the corner start 600m races; and the 700m races will often throw up odds-on favourites that have alot of weakness about them.

Angle Park is all about leading to the first corner, class dogs will knock up winning in South Australia as their is a definite lack of depth, even at higher grades. Again be wary of betting in 600m and 700m events at Angle Park as in many cases it is just the last throw of the dice for connections and there are very few genuine stayers.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 7 – Dance Floor Diva

In this Maiden Final Dance Floor Diva looks the goods after 2 good wins here in the heat and semi final. Started from box 8 on both those occassion so the move to box 7 shouldn't present much of a problem. Las win was very impressive and looks a nice type on the way up.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 1 – Box 5 – Cawbourne Grace

Don't underestimate Cawbourne Grace here who has been a good winner at her past 2 starts at Canberra and Dapto. Led all the way running 30.40 at Dapto last start, so might need to improve a little tonight but has very good box speed and should lead this field.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 7 – Pretty Boy Troy

Christine Oldfield's Pretty Boy Troy won again at last Wednesday night and looked very good winning running a flying 28.97 winning by 4.25 lengths. Smashed a field there the week prior running 29.15 of box 6 and should only be improved onthose 2 runs to go well tonight.

Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 1 – Rylee's Rockin'

Rylee's Rockin' just keeps winning and won well again here last Mondayy night running a PB of 30.15 and offsetting a poor box 4 draw. That third win was his quickest of his 4 wins on the track. Has put together a good record of 9 wins and 5 placings from 16 starts and looks like a more than type who is perfectly boxed.

Angle Park Greyhounds – Race 5 – Box 1 – Awesome Ryles

Better known as a stayer Awesomne Ryles resumed with a poor run at but made amends winning easily here down in grade last Wednesday. Normally goes well from an inside box draw and although better suited over the longer journey, can suprise here tonight at odds.
