Welcome to Australian Racing Greyhound's Greyhound Racing Tips for Thursday 3rd August 2009 with Tips tonight from Sandown Park (Victoria), Dapto (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland), Angle Park (South Australia) and Mandurah (West Australia).
Ten greyhounds tips offered up last night and while we scored plenty of placings, including Rockmoves running third at Warrnambool at over $40; we also managed a 20% plus profit from just the three winners with Elaine Octane paying over $5 at Sportsbet, Sportingbet, Centrebet, Iasbet and Betfair; as well as Mulitcam Girl doing the job nicely off boc 1 at The Gardens at over $4 at all bookies.

With tonights Greyhound Racing coming from Sandown Park (Victoria), Dapto (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland), Angle Park (South Australia) and Mandurah (West Australia), lets just recap our track advice for those tracks.
Sandown Park is considered one of the best two turn tracks in the country and plays reasonably fairly, although there is a slight bias towards railers and greyhounds on the speed.
Dapto is a track greyhounds either handle or they don't. Look for greyhounds with exposed form on the track.
Albion Park was the first track in Australia to move to the finish-on lure system and it is definitely the better of the two Queensland TAB tracks. A lack of depth in a lot of races can cause upsets at Albion Park when favourites are over-rated or suffer interference. Tread warily when betting on the corner start 600m races; and the 700m races will often throw up odds-on favourites that have alot of weakness about them.
Angle Park is all about leading to the first corner, class dogs will knock up winning in South Australia as their is a definite lack of depth, even at higher grades. Again be wary of betting in 600m and 700m events at Angle Park as in many cases it is just the last throw of the dice for connections and there are very few genuine stayers.
Mandurah can be a punters graveyard, the 492m distance, 647m distance and the 302m distances are corner starts and even the 405m start is only a short run before the corner. Good beginners are decidedly advantaged as are the red boxes over all 3 shorter distances.
Sandown Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 3 – Cyclone Ned
With 3 wins at his past 4 starts Cyclone Ned is going as well as ever at the moment and has run 25.12 at Ballarat, 24.15 at bendigo and 29.69 last here. With the veyr first of the Melbourne Cup preludes starting here, Cyclone Ned looks to striking form at the right time and will be in with a big show come Melbourne Cup heat time.
Sandown Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 7 – Parracryl
Despite his age, connections just knocked back a big offer for Parracryl and tonight the greyhound gets an ideal draw from a wide box in one of the Melbourne Cup Preludes. This greyhound loves an outside draw and won 3 starts ago from box 8 here running 29.78 to prove age hasn't got the better of him yet. Has won 4 of 13 here and is aiming up for win number 16 from 45.
Dapto Greyhounds – Race 2 – Box 6 – Three For Ten
Sounds like and Australian Ashes first innings score, but went like the wind here last week leading all the way in 5.34, 30 dead for trainer Mick Abbott. Did elect to start this bitch prior to the big Dapto Maiden heats this week, so obviously not one of his better ones, but looked good winning nonetheless. Won't have to improve to win this and has too much pace for those boxed around her.
Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 1 – Box 7 – Fully Worked
Don't like normally tipping greyhounds stepping straight out of maiden class to metro racing, but it is the same track and Fully Worked doens't know what the races are worth. Debuted here a week ago running 30.25 and looked very impressive winning by 8 lengths in 30.32 from box 6. Has similar box tonight and won't have to go much quicker to win this.
Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 6 – Ryan's A Rocket
One of the most consistent Albion Park performers this year who has had 27 starts at the track and distance for 10 wins and 8 placings. Has a PB of 30.11, which limits him from being truly top class, but nevertheless is very genuine and always attempts to put himself in to the race. No reason he can't win again after last weeks 30.17 effort over Kathy's Recall from box 6.
Angle Park Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 3 – Acoustic Bale
Acoustic Bale gets the right draw and enough room around him to make an effort tonight from box 3. Has started 5 times over this track and distance for 3 wins and 3 seconds but has been mixing classes, distances and form lately. Can be very dissappointing but can look very good on his night too. Lokks the type of race he should unleash on.
