Greyhound Racing Tips For Tuesday 5th February 2013

Gawler Greyhounds. Race 4. Box 1 Victa Tim. 1.47pm

The Ronald Schadow chaser Victa Tim lines up here after a solid effort last start at . Winning From the same box. Victa Tim is a from a repeat mating, Where's Pedro x Teelah, who are going great guns. The first littler produce a few handy chasers. One of which Victa Sam, who also goes around today from box 1. Victa Tim is having his first go here today but looks certain to be right in this. The first litter won many races early on in their career. And this bloke gets his chance to continue that here today. He has to contend with a solid line up but, Boxes win races and for that reason I'm making him my on top selection.

Devonport Greyhounds. Race 1 Box 1. CHICKA SCOTT. 1.04pm Vic time

The Former Qld chaser Chicka Scott has recently crossed the Tasman to race, after receiving a conviction when winning his maiden at Ipswich. Chicka Scott the Dog, gets his name after called him after his late great mate in Chicka Scott. Chicka Scott the man was a commission agent among many other things at Qld's straight track . I once had a dog in at Capalaba and commissioned Chicka to put the money on for me. Chicka said to me, “will he win” and I sternly replied “he'll kill em” With that I headed off to the starting boxes, only to hear that my dog was now 6-1 on, Too my surprise and all the other trainers also. I really felt the pressure then. He missed the kick but flew late and just managed to get up right on the line winning by a nostril!!! Chicka, said to me when I returned to collect my money from him, “lets not try that again any time soon”. To which I just smiled!

I've seen all of Chicka Scott the dogs starts and he has managed to beat himself each time. Every time starting a short priced favourite. By all reports Chicka Scott has a huge motor, and I'm hoping a change of scenery does the trick with him here. Had his first up attempt here last week and was slow to begin. But after balancing up he managed to emerge from the pack to be running on for a great second. Theirs a couple of first starters here today but if Chicka Scott can produce his best he'll be mighty hard to beat here today. One things for sure though, there will be no 6s on here today Chicka!!!

Lismore Greyhounds. Race 6. Box 1. Phantom Jewels. 8.25pm NSW time

Unfortunately of late I seem to be tipping dogs one start to early. So there's no way I'm tipping against Phantom Jewels Here. Has come up with box 1 and this should see her make amends for her poor effort last Start at Albion. Where she was slow to begin and never really got into the race. She has a big motor running a very quick time over the shorts at Grafton, and has a super smart PB here over the 520. In 29.99. She only needs to get within a few lengths of that tonight to win this. Should be able to punch up early here and race right away. Has a great record from the red box with 2 wins and 1 placing from 3 starts. She poses a huge motor when it suits her, and is able to run blistering times. Let's hope today is the day, it suits her!!!

Gosford Greyhounds. Race 6 Box 2 Bit Elite. 8.58 NSW time

The daughter of lines up here for her first attempt at 600m and it looks to be right up her ally. Appears to be a Between her and Big Cliffy. She should be able to lead Big Cliffy in this and is suited by the track here at . Likes to rail and she appears well placed to win in her first attempt. Big Cliffy looks the only danger to her, but he may get a little too far back here, and have to much ground to make up. She should have no trouble clearing the red and should skip right away on the bunny here. Leaving her only danger Big Cliffy chasing. Should see out the trip and looks the winner here. Great Bet!

Ipswich Greyhounds. Race 3 Box 8 Drop Jaw 3.42pm Qld time

The very speedy Drop Jaw goes around here, after recently coming through the big maiden series. Where he won his heat and was unlaced in the final. Has been racing over the 520m at Albion park the last few starts, but it looked to be too far for him at this stage amongst city class dogs. However he did go quite well last start after beginning like a bomb and running a very fast 5.65 first section. Gets into this very well and there only appears to be one danger. In the trained Sabah Magic, who at his two previous starts here drew the outside box and went quite well although not having much luck. Looks to be better suited here from the inside. If Drop Jaw can begin well here and cut across the field he should have no trouble running sub 25.30 and that will win this here today.

Ipswich Greyhounds. Race 5. Box 1 Infant Sorrow. 4.17pm Qld time

The trained dog is having his first attempt here today but has been going exceptionally well of late.
Has run some slick times lately and appears to be the one to beat from the inside here today. There doesn't appear to be much speed drawn around, and this will allow him to balance up early and get right into gear. The main danger is the 8 dog but it makes it very hard for him to get across from the wide alley today. Great bet and should run solid time here today.

Warragul Greyhounds. Race 10 Box 8 Crump 9.48pm Vic Time

This bloke looks to be very exciting and has already posted a super quick run at his first start for trainer Troy Iwanyk.
By Super Man from Mon Cherie he looks to be suited by the outside box and with an unimpeded run he should give this lot win burn. Superman has produced some classy gallopers. And this bloke looks to be no exception. Should be winning this.

Big day of chasing around the country and I hope it turns out a prosperous day for all!!!

Best of Luck.
