Noonbarra Joe is showing plenty of promise and he should have derived a lot of benefit when placed here last week. He was having his first look at the trip and first try over this distance range, he showed tremendous pace and after being headed as they turned for home he battled on quite well. I'm expecting him to lead again and he should hit the line even better.

Charlie Pearce is well drawn in the red and he should get a nice sit behind Noonbarra Joe for most of the journey, I think the leader might sneak away mid race so the quinella option might be best with Charlie Pearce.

Cerberus has been racing in good company of late and he is suited to the wide draw, he musters pace very quickly and he could be the value in the event.

Top Four: 2 – 1 – 8 – 7

Fuelish is an absolute speed demon and it will be interesting to see what he does in his metro debut. He has won six of ten to date and all six of those wins have been in times on the provincial circuit. From the red he should be able to hold the early lead and I'm expecting him to put a gap in them mid race.

Bronco De Jurer has been placed in four of eight here and he has been racing in solid style without winning. He should be able to settle behind the red early and he looks a good bet for the quinella.

Kasai Warrior has a lot of talent and if he can get out into some open space he will run a big race, three starts back he caught the eye with a brilliant 29.45 Park win.

Why Not Donna is well drawn out wide and with a clear run early she could take home some minor money.

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 3 – 8
