WITH the semi-finals of the Group 1 National Derby and Futurity being run at Wentworth Park tomorrow night, it promises to be an excellent weekend of racing in the Harbour City.

Only a small field set to do battle but I think we can find some value with Inner City to finish in the top two. He is making his staying debut tonight but I am expecting him to find the early lead and there doesn't appear to be a lot of staying depth in this event. He likes to scout wide in his races and the manner in which he hits the line over 520m suggests he will run a fairly strong 650m and if he has a big enough lead he should hang on over the last 70m.
Flamin' Go has scored some very fast 600m wins in her brief career to date and she should give a great sight. I'm expecting her to match motors with or sit just behind Inner City for most of the journey. Like my top pick, she is a doubt to run the trip but both should be a long way ahead of the pack mid race.
Gazza's Angel could be the value, she is much better than her recent form reads and she will be suited by the rails draw.
Top Four: 8 – 7 – 1 – 2

Crowie's Chance looks well placed in the red draw and he should get the cash if he can hold them out in the run to the first bend. This race has a bit of speed engaged in it but the other likely leaders like to use plenty of the track so he should get all the breaks in the run to the first bend. Four starts back he posted a sizzling 25.90 Bathurst win and a repeat of that will see him figure in the finish.
Knight Sprite turned in a strong effort when placed here last time and if he can get across from the wide draw he should figure prominently, prior to his placing he had posted three impressive Wauchope wins over the 457m journey.
Priceless has won five of eight to date and he should have Unbroken run some cover for him into the first turn, he isn't overly strong in the run home but he should hang on for a place.
Top Four: 1 – 7 – 3 – 4
