Du Plessis is ideally drawn in the pink and he looks suited to this journey. Two starts ago he stepped well and found the bunny early and posted a sizzling 30.84 victory in the process. Tonight I can see him rolling to the early lead and once again I can see him running time on the .

Tommy El is making his staying debut but his race pattern suggests that he should be suited. I would expect him to settle a lot closer to the speed tonight and he should run a big race. Berry Blitz has the good draw and she is going to be well supported. She is more than capable of winning, but I think may start under the odds. Decta rounds out the chances, she likes to run wide in her races and is much better than her recent efforts suggest.

Empire Allen has been racing well without winning of late and he looks well placed in this event. Transcend Time should lead and that should allow Empire Allen to get a nice sit behind him in the early stages. He has a brilliant 25.68 PB here and with a clear passage he is probably capable of going a little bit quicker.

Enjoy Cruising turned in a monster performance when placed here last time and a similar effort tonight would see him figure prominently. Dyna Tony has a great record on the provincial circuit and he should be in the mix for most of the journey. Transcend Time is a long way off his best but he has the good draw and he can still be competitive in a race .
