Leg 1 – Angle Park – Race 6: Alderley Reform To Win $2
Alderley Reform is a star chaser and he has won over 20 races here over the 515m journey. Tonight he is stepping up to the 600m journey and he gives every indication that this distance range will suit. There is very little speed drawn on his outside, so he should be able to trail the red through in the early stages and I would expect him to take over mid race. He is extremely strong over the 500m journey so I think he should have no trouble covering the extra distance.
Leg 2 – Shepparton – Race 5: Aston Bolero To Win $2.85
Aston Bolero is an exciting prospect and he is blessed with explosive early and mid race speed. Last week he reeled off very impressive sectionals before getting very tired in the run home and he was nabbed near the line. I think he can roll to the early lead tonight and he should be a lot better for that effort, so I would expect him to hit the line a lot better tonight and he should be able to hold off the highly promising Cutting Edge.
Leg 3 – Grafton – Race 7: Echo Gal To Place $3.40
Echo Gal is much better than her form reads and she appears to be well over the odds in this company. I am expecting her to settle well back in the field tonight but there are quite a few front runners who are suspect at the trip, so if she can drop in behind them and avoid trouble she should be able to run over the top late and finish in the top three. She probably can't win the event but she is a very attractive price for the place.
