He's So Good is a highly-promising type and he has had little luck in his two recent placings here. Two runs back he turned in a monster effort when placed behind the exciting Soda Lad. There isn't a lot of speed drawn underneath him tonight so with a clean getaway he should be able to roll to the early lead and if he finds the lure tonight he will be running some serious time.

Flywheel Alfie lacks experience, but he comes here after scoring a top 25.18 debut win at Sale and he did trial a lot quicker than that prior to making his debut. From the red he should be able to settle in the top three early and I think he will handle himself well in the run home. Jen Zarr Go is an interesting runner, she has been knocked over in her two Victorian runs, but she did show a lot of ability before coming across and she is a member of a strong kennel. Changing Lights rounds out the chances, he is a little hit or miss early but he did look impressive when scoring at Warrnambool in a slick 25.47.

Yanick Allen is making her debut over this journey, but she meets a very weak lineup and she should get every chance to score. She is perfectly placed in the pink tonight and I would expect her to roll to the early lead if she can step on terms. She was a very strong 34.45 Meadows winner two runs back and the manner in which she hit the line would suggest that she will have no trouble covering the extra distance.

Berry Blitz has been racing in much stronger company of late and she should appreciate the drop in class. She has the speed to settle in the first half of the field and she has recorded some fast placings here recently. Zipping Geoff must be respected, he hasn't had a lot of luck in his two runs in Victoria but he did come here with strong NSW staying form. He isn't the best of beginners, but he does have brilliant mid race speed and he should be in contention as they turn for home. Macca's Sway could be the value, he is much better than his recent form reads and he was placed in his only try over this journey.

Hisagi Bale was far from disgraced when placed here last week and if he can step on terms he should get every chance to go one better tonight. His box manners can sometimes let him down but he does possess a dazzling turn of foot and if he doesn't get crowded he should be able to roll to the early lead. He is a different chaser when he can lead and dictate the terms and he looks a nice bet in this.

Golden has come up with the good draw and he scored a strong 29.73 win here last week, he is rising a little in class but he appears to be getting better with every run and he should handle himself quite well in this. Zipping Nelson scored a strong 30.20 Meadows win two runs back and if given a clear run he will be right in the finish, there isn't a lot of speed around him so he should be afforded a clear passage in the initial stages. Same Day could be the value, he hasn't had much luck since his two top Bendigo wins and he is a member of a powerful kennel, if he goes around at big odds he could be worth an each way ticket.

Melham is a member of the powerful Thompson kennel and he has looked super impressive in his two heat wins. Last time out he showed a great turn of foot soon after box rise and he never looked in doubt when posting a speedy 29.63. He should have the speed to hold them out at the first bend and I can't see them reeling him in if he does land on the lure.

Moreira has recorded two placings in his two starts to date and he is a litter and kennel mate to Melham. I think he has a little more talent than Melham but he is drawn poorly tonight and he doesn't appear to have the same amount of early speed. If he can somehow get across without too much trouble he should be able to make an impact. It's A Blast must be included in your exotics, he will get back in the early stages but he does have good track sense and he appears to be getting better with every run. It's A Plane has the good draw and he rounds out the chances, he should settle just behind the speed and he will be strong in the run to the line.

Midnight Flynn has been racing in brilliant form of late and he should be ready for the step up in distance. His box manners aren't great but he will muster speed quickly and with slow beginners all around him he should be able to push through and assume control at the first bend. The last 30 metres may be a query, but he does give every indication that he should be able to cover the journey.

Know Danger turned in a solid effort when placed at Bendigo last time over 660 metres and he is drawn to figure prominently again. He isn't brilliant early but this race lacks genuine early speed so if he steps on terms he should be able to push through at the first bend. Blue Giant regained some confidence with a commanding 34.33 win here last week and with some luck early he should be in the finish again, the box draw is a big disadvantage but he has handled awkward draws in the past. Grand Legacy rounds out the serious chances, he has the speed to cross and if he leads he should give a cheeky sight.

Sisco Rage is super consistent and he deserves to win a quality race. With Lamia Bale expected to lead from the red, he should be able to trail her through at the first bend and if he settles on her hammer he should be able to get past her mid race. He has won four of eight over this trip previously and he looks a good bet in this event.

Wind Whistler turned in a monster performance when placed here last week and he looks suited by the rails draw tonight. He will likely settle mid field but I'm expecting the leaders to bunch up a little and that should allow him to swoop over the top late. Lamia Bale is ideally drawn and she will lead for a long way, she is better suited to a shorter trip but if they shuffle up behind her she may steal the event. Agent Jack rounds out the winning chances, he turned in a strong performance to score here last week in 34.26 and he only needs luck early to feature.

Recruitment continues to race impressively and he is drawn to make a big impact tonight. He is a multiple Group One Finalist and the last time he left this draw he posted a blistering 29.60 Wentworth Park win. There isn't a lot of early speed in this event, so if he can step cleanly he should hold them out and I would expect him to break away mid race. He won't be flashy odds but he should be winning.

Kerrigan Bale is drawn to match motors with the red for most of the trip and there shouldn't be too much between them at the end, if she had drawn inside she would probably be my top pick. Lochinvar Impact must be kept safe, he recently joined the powerful Thompson kennel and with two runs under his belt he should be ready to fire. Humphrey Bale must also be included in your exotic bets, he has been racing in consistent fashion recently and he tends to handle himself quite well in this type of company.

Great race and there appears to be at least four winning chances, I'm going to give the edge to the reliable Lady Toy. There is very little speed in this event, so if she can begin on terms she should be able to burn them off in the run to the first turn. She has raced well here in the past and if she leads them up she should be able to get away mid race and that will be enough for her to score.

Sweet It Is has returned to her best in recent weeks and she will be powering to the line, with a clear run she will probably score but I am a little concerned that she may get shuffled a long way back from the red draw. Luna Jinx broke the 42-second barrier in a trial last week and she should be suited to the wide draw, she can be unreliable at times but if she goes around at silly odds she could be worth an each way ticket. Dzeko is the only other winning chance, she was desperately unlucky here last week but she tends to always have an excuse, she will need some luck again but she appears to have strong place claims.

Fever Pitch is absolutely airborne at present and with the empty draw on his outside he should be able to lead from go to whoa. He has won three of four here and one of those wins was over the highly talented Angie Rocks. This is clearly a step up in class for him but he appears up to the challenge.

Nockabout Aussie can be very hard to follow at times but he has his draw tonight and this is the weakest race he has contested for a while. He will settle back in the field but if he is within four lengths off the back he should make his presence felt. Gaucho charged home to score at recently in 30.31 and with a clear run he can feature again, the only concern with him is that he has been bombing the start of late and he does have a keen railer drawn directly on his outside. If you're looking for value in your exotic bets, it may be worth including Airbound, I dont think he can win but he can sneak home into some minor money.

Broadway Miss is armed with smart early speed and if she can cross from the outside she should be leading all the way. Last week at The Meadows she scored a commanding 34.74 and on that occasion she appeared to hit the line really well.

Ikari Spark is the interesting runner, he is making his middle distance debut but he gives every indication that this trip will suit and he may be able to settle a little closer to the speed than normal. Pipeline Rumour has been flying and he will feature with some luck in running. He is capable of reeling off explosive sectionals when given a clear run and he appears to be a promising stayer in the making. Bolt On has the good draw and he should be in the mix for a long way, I'm a little concerned about the last 40 metres, but he should run a drum.

Angel Of Music is a faultless beginner and she has been racing in good heart of late. She should have the speed to cross the inside division and she appears to be hitting the line a lot better these days. She should be each way odds and I think she is a great bet.

Crackerjack Burn should match motors or sit just behind her tonight and he should finish in the top three, neither are extremely strong but they should get away mid race and fight out the finish. Jewel Bale has the class edge and if she avoids early bother she should play a part. She hasn't won for a while but she does her best racing here and she will be powering to the line.

Dyna Brainiac is suited to the wide draw and if he can reproduce the form which saw him win at The Meadows in 30.06 he will take a power of beating. He has struggled here previously but most of those runs where in much stronger company, so I'm expecting an improved performance tonight.

Earl Bale has the speed to hold them out early and he is better than his form reads, he isn't overly strong but if he can get away mid race he might be able to steal the event. Flywheel Magic is an exciting prospect and she has won three on the trot in impressive style, this is her toughest test but she should be up to the challenge.

Top Four: 8 – 1 – 4 – 5
