Veetee Saharrah has recently joined the powerful Bravo kennel and she returned to racing in fine style at last time with a devastating 24.73 win. That win was from a wide draw and from a similar draw tonight she should be given plenty of room to balance up early and if she can find the lead at the first turn she should be able to zip away mid race.

Renstar has turned in two monster efforts at Geelong recently over 400m and he appears better suited to this journey. He has good early speed and if he can settle in the top two or three he should be right there at the end.

Shared Bonus is another on speed chaser and he is showing plenty of promise also, he didnt have a lot of luck when well fancied here last week and im expecting an improved showing.

Code Breaker rounds out the chances, he beat a classy lineup at last time in a slick 27.88 and a repeat of that performance could see him score at nice odds tonight.

Fuelish is an absolute speed demon and its hard too look past him after he scored at last time in 29.89. That was his first crack at the 500m trip and he appeared to run it right out. This is clearly a rise in class for him but if he happens to find the early i cant see them reeling him in, he also has the benefit of having slow beginners drawn on either side.

Shanlyn Lucy has been flying over longer journeys of late but she has shown enough zip in this races to be a factor in this event. Last time out she posted very impressive mid race sectionals before stopping the timer in a sizzling 34.15 here over the 595m trip, she will need some luck in the first 50m but if she gets it she could get the cash.

To The Galo's is the interesting runner, he doesnt have great box manners but he does have a wonderful turn of speed once he hits the ground. In recent weeks he has scored two sizzling Shepparton wins and if he can bring that form to town he will be right in the mix.

Baron Bling rounds out the trifecta chances, he has a good record here and he should be ready to fire after nearly five weeks off.

10COOL FOR SCHOOL [5]Res.41443NBTS Taylor (Keilor East)

This is going to be a great race and it will be interesting to see how Rowdy Ronda handles herself. Im actually giving the edge to the in form Noosa Rocket, he has won here previously in a zippy 29.41 and he showed he is in peak condition with a commanding Shepparton win last time in 25.28. If he steps cleanly he should have the speed to cross and i cant see them picking him up on the lure.

Rowdy Ronda is a big talent but she can be unreliable and she is still learning the caper. Last time out she posted impressive sectionals before stopping the clock in a smart 30.06 at The Meadows and that type of effort would see her finish in the top two tonight.

Rocka Hula Baby has always shown talent and she has finally delivered with two brilliant wins of late with the most recent being at Sale in a eye catching 29.34. She can be a little slow to begin but if she can settle in the first half of the field she should play a major role.

Dzeko has been a little disappointing in recent weeks but this is the weakest race she has contested for a while and with an ounce of luck she should return to the winner's list. She can be a little hit or miss early but if she can avoid bother and get out into some open spaces she should be able to make a very strong move mid race and she will prove too strong for her rivals.

Julie Bale is a classy type when on song and she returned to form at recently with an impressive 25.97 victory. If she can show similar speed tonight she should settle in the top two early and she will then prove hard to reel in.

Looby Lu showed plenty of promise when last in work and she should improve on her luckless effort at Bendigo last time when she was resuming from a four month spell. She has the speed to lead and she should give a great sight, however i think she might need the run and place claims do appear best for her.

Dewana Babe must be included in the exotics, she is well drawn out wide and she is never far away in this type of company.

10SHANLYN PATCH [5]Res.2546TNBTS Ralph (Tooradin)

Weblec Belle turned in a mammoth performance at The Meadows three runs back and she should get every chance to score at her favourite track tonight. Three starts back she was narrowly beaten by Azza Azza Azza in time and tonight she returns to a track and trip where she has won five of 12 with a further three placings. The wide draw should also suit and if she gets a bit of room in the first 20m she should be able to lead throughout.

Midnight Flynn is another suited to the wide draw and its hard to ignore his recent Meadows win in a sizzling 29.72, he is making his Sandown Park debut tonight but he has a slow beginner on his outside so he should get every chance to balance up in the run to the first turn.

Recruitment was a recent finalist in the and he needs to be respected, he is suited to the rails draw but he does have a bit of speed drawn around him, so he will need some luck in the first 40m.

Bogner Bale can run a place at nice odds, he has been racing in consistent fashion and four runs back he did post a smart 29.51 when winning here.

8SISCO RAGE [3]7331434.29(5)J Galea (Lara)

Sisco Rage hasnt drawn to well in the pink but he is flying at present and its too hard to look past him. Two starts back he captured a heat of the Australian Cup in 29.89 and he was far from disgarced in the final last week. He is showing a lot more early speed in his races of late so if he can step on terms he should be able to blaze across and assume control as they pass the post the first time.

Texas Titan is a wide runner but i think the red draw will suit him on the bend start, he has won two of his five tries over this trip and with a clean getaway tonight he should be able to settle just behind Coulta Rock and Sisco Rage in the early stages.

Wind Whistler has been racing in tremendous fashion of late and he will be steaming home at the end, he will need a lot of luck in running but it might be worth anchoring him for second and third in your exotic bets.

Coulta Rock should settle near the speed and he has a solid record here, he can be a little unreliable at times but he appears drawn to get all the breaks tonight.

8FLAME BALE (NSW)[4]1122529.90(6)A Dailly (Anakie)

Ikaku Bale appears to have put it altogether and he should get the cash in this event. Three starts back he posted an all the way win at The Meadows in an eye popping 29.60 and last week he showed his versatility when coming from off the speed to win here in 29.54. The red should ping to the early lead and that should allow him to drive through at the first bend and settle in a threatening position.

Earl Bale is expected to lead and he should give a great sight. Last week he was placed in solid time here but on that occasion he had to work overtime mid race and he was always going to struggle in the run home. He should get a cheap lead tonight so he should hang in for a lot longer.

Zeppelin Bale must be respected, he is well drawn nearer the inside and back in late January he did score a slick 29.95 Meadows win. He can be hit or miss early but he is very strong and he does have good track sense.

Miss Cersei rounds out the genuine chances, she is poorly drawn but she is very strong and she only needs some luck mid race to feature.

Awesome lineup and ive decided to go with the in form Samus Allen. Two starts back she speared the lids when winning a heat of the Australian Cup in 29.84 and she wasnt afforded too many favours in the final. With a keen railer drawn underneath she should get a clear run in the early stages and if she settles in the top two she should prove too strong in the run home.

Kerrigan Bale is another who has been flying of late and she has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in her races. Three starts back she ran the hands off the clock when posting a blistering 29.69 at The Meadows and if she reproduces that effort she should be in the finish.

Caustic Bale is a beast and he showed his true talents with a scorching 29.21 win here last week, he doesnt have the best box manners but he has a devastating turn of foot soon after box rise. If he is given some room in the first 50m he should hold them out and score, however his box manners are a big concern for me.

Marcus Joe is the only other winning hope, he has a terrific record here and he is never far away in this company.

Cosmic Wise is all class and with an ounce of luck early she should have there measure. Three starts back she won the Rookie Rebel at The Meadows and tonight she returns to her favourite track. There is a little bit of speed drawn around her but if she steps on terms she should be able to out pace them in the run to the first turn.

Yanick Allen is the interesting runner, she is ideally placed in the pink draw and four starts back she posted a blistering 29.75 when winning at The Meadows. I think she will have the speed to cross but the only concern will be if she has enough stamina to hold on.

Smart Maxwell must be included in your exotic bets, he was a strong 34.59 Meadows winner two runs back and he has won here previously in an impressive 34.17.

Express Lane is racing well and she has come up with the coveted rails draw, however i think she will be under the odds and she may need a run or two in this class.

Boxhead is armed with slick early speed and if he crosses the red early he should be off and gone with the prize. Last week he stepped well from the squeeze draw but he couldnt cross the inside runner and therefore he had to work too hard mid race. I think he will get a cheaper lead tonight and he should get every chance to score.

Enchanted Bling is airborne at present and she has broken the magical 30 seconds in her two recent wins. The box draw is a worry tonight but if she comes out and gets some room early he should make a big impact.

Light ‘Em Up is the intriguing runner, he is a member of the powerful Thompson kennel and he has scored three dominant wins in a row on the provincial circuit. He gives the indication that this trip should suit and if he handles the first bend he should be right there at the end.

Riley's Planet has the good draw and he could hold on for a place, he has speed to burn and if he holds them out he could snare some minor money.

Tiger's Hero has been racing well in much stronger company of late and after five placings from seven tries here he should get every chance to break through. Three starts back he was far from disgraced when placed behind Recruitment in a heat of the Australian Cup and he should find this event more to his liking.

Amaro Bale is very honest and strong and he should follow Tigers Hero across in the run to the first bend, he has done his best racing at The Meadows to date but he hasnt had much luck in his runs here.

Twelfth Man is armed with smart early speed and he caught the eye when scoring here recently in a zippy 29.56, if he can cross again he will prove hard to reel in.

Zabimaru Bale has the good draw and he can sneak into the placings, he has found a lot of bother in recent starts but he should get all the breaks from the red tonight.

Good race to end the night and i know he keeps sucking me in but im willing to give Walt Bale one more chance. He has been desperately unlucky of late and i know that is due to his racing pattern, however tonight he finds himself in a race which features a fair bit of early speed, so he should be able to drop in behind them and he can then run over the top of them late in the race.

Express Pace looked very impressive when winning the Series at The Meadows last time and he should continue to get better with racing. He has quite a bit of early speed and with a clean getaway he should be able to settle in the top two or three early.

Shanlyn Jed is well drawn out wide and he has been placed in his only three runs here, he is getting stronger with every run and he should be in the mix throughout tonight.

Top Four: 4 – 6 – 8 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Walt Bale with William Hill

Quinella: 4 to rove with 3,6,8 ($3 for 100%)

Exacta: 4,6,8/3,4,6,8 ($9 for 100%)
