Brown Bomber was going to win by a space here last week before having a runner come back in the field and collect him. From a similar wide draw tonight he should be able to roll across and assume control as they head into the first turn. He appeared to be running time last week and it will be interesting to see what he can post with a clear run tonight.

Amelia Christa showed tremendous improvement in her last start 25.43 Warrnambool win, on that occasion she showed a great turn of speed and a similar effort tonight will see her settle in the top two or three early.

Chancy Be Smooth is a member of the powerful Robert Britton kennel and he scored a strong 29.80 debut win here last week, if he can step away a little better tonight he should continue to improve and he will be a major player.

Connor's Rocket could be the value in the event, his form doesn't read well but he does have a lot of talent and he could run a nice race at odds.

Walt Bale has been a little costly in recent weeks but I think he is due for a change of luck and he really won't find an easier race. He has been taking on some classy chasers of late and he should appreciate the class drop. His lack of early speed is always a concern but I'm expecting the red to lead and he should be able to lob onto the rail and then zoom up behind the red as they head for the back straight.

Soul Maker is armed with an abundance of early speed and she should lead them a merry dance, she hit a brick wall here last week when leading but I think she will run the trip out a lot better tonight.

Virginia Rose beat a highly promising type at Sale last time over 520m and she appears to be improving with every run.

Sir Charleton rounds out the chances, he has been placed in seven of his past eight starts and with some luck in the first 50m he shouldn't be too far away again.

Just A Taste has been flying of late and although he struggles over this distance range I think he might be able to pinch this event. From the red he should be able to hold them out at the first turn and if he does that should allow him to boot away mid race. He will definitely get a little tired in the run home but I think he should have enough in the tank to score.

Hogganaught recently strung together three impressive Cranbourne wins and he is drawn to get the gun run. He normally doesn't win when coming from off the speed, however if he is close enough to the red mid race he may just run over the top of it in the final stages.

Six Green Thumbs is better than his form reads and he has a terrific record here, he will need some luck early but he is very strong and if the gaps open mid race he will take some stopping.

Zabimaru Bale is the run on type in the event and he must be included in your exotic bets, he will give them a solid head start but if they bunch up in front he might just swoop over the top late.

8WEBLEC ROSE (SA)[3]2711129.24(1)J Britton (Anakie)

Weblec Rose is back to her brilliant best and with a clean getaway tonight she should register her fourth win on the trot. She normally steps well in her races and she then utilizes her turn of foot, with a keen railer and fast beginner drawn in box seven, she should get every chance to carve across to the early lead.

Secret Spell is all class on her night but she has been a tad disappointing in her past two runs, if she pings the lids she will be a major player but I am a little concerned with the speed drawn directly on her outside.

Sunday Shoes must be considered from the favourable draw, she can take a couple of strides to get going but the two chasers on her outside will give her plenty of room in the early stages.

Quick Succession has been a bit disappointing in recent weeks so that's why I haven't gone with her, if she happened to ping the lids she is likely to be a big improver.

Oakvale Flyer is better than her form reads and she must also be included in your exotic bets.

Aristotle Bale can be inconsistent at times but he has a great record from the red and he should get every chance to lead throughout. His PB here of 29.58 is only fair but that was recorded when he off the speed, on the lure tonight he should be able to get down to the 29.30 mark. He will be fairly short but he does look the goods.

Size Does Matter has a very big engine but he isn't racing with real confidence at present. If he can get away cleanly tonight he should be able to show sufficient speed to get across into a prominent position at the first turn. There is no doubting his talent and with some luck tonight he might be able to return to his best at solid odds.

Flame Bale is a consistent type and she is drawn to match motors with or settle just behind the red and she shouldn't be too far away at the end. Two starts back she caught the eye with a top placing at The Meadows when beaten by the classy Kerrigan Bale.

Dzeko is a very talented stayer and after two strong placings here she should return to the winners list. She is ideally drawn in the pink and with an every getaway she should be able to settle in the top two or three early. She has proven in recent weeks that she doesn't lack strength, so if she can settle in a prominent spot she will prove very hard to hold out.

Opec Bale is an exciting staying prospect and two runs back he beat a classy lineup at Ballarat in 37.75, he is better suited to this journey and he has won over this trip previously in a very quick 41.99. I'm a little concerned about the awkward draw though, so if he can get through unscathed he should make an impact.

Ralphy Cinel is the interesting runner, he didn't have much luck in his staying debut at The Meadows on the weekend, from the red he should be able to lead them up and he should give a great sight on the lure.

What's Chewing has scored some devastating wins over this distance range in recent weeks and with a clean getaway he should win again. His box manners can be a little bit of a worry but he has slow beginners drawn on either side so he should get enough room to muster speed even if he does miss away.

Texas Titan loves racing around this circuit and he should put himself into contention mid race. He has won two of four over this journey and he should get a nice cart across from the three in the run to the first turn.

Cornelius Fudge has been a great chaser for quite some time and he is still going well enough to make an impact, he will need some luck in the first 50m but he is quite strong and he could run home into a place.

Why Not Wayne rounds out the chances, he was solidly placed here last week and he must be included in your exotic bets again.

8MY BRO FABIO (NSW)[1]1111229.09(8)B Ennis (Lara)

Brilliant race and it appears to be a match race between the wings. I'm giving the edge to Allen Deed, I know he is better suited to a wider draw but with a clean getaway he should have enough speed to hold them out at the first bend. I know Fabio is flying at present but I dont think there is any chaser in the land that could reel in Allen Deed on the lure.

My Bro Fabio was desperately unlucky in a heat of the Australian Cup but his racing pattern means that he is always a chance to find bother. He is suited to the pink draw tonight and as long as Allen Deed doesn't lead he is a massive chance of winning, he is going to be fairly short so that is another reason why I'm leaning to the red.

Jayney Bale returned to her best with a brilliant 29.88 Meadows win two runs back and if she happens to lead she could give some cheek. Spring Leaf appears to be the only other hope, she can show early speed in her races and she has a great record here.

10MEMPHIS JOOKIN' [5]Res.5568129.82(8)J Borg (Maryborough)

Caustic Bale is a beast and from the red he should be able to make every post a winner. Two starts back he turned in a monster effort to score at The Meadows in 30.05 and if he leads tonight I think he is capable of going sub 29.20. There are a couple of handy ones in this event so you might be able to snag $2.20 or a little better.

Lektra Concord has won three of six here and he has been racing in good form of late. I'm expecting him to either lead or sit just behind the red and if he does settle in the first couple I can't see him missing a place.

Lektra Outlaw is better than his past couple of efforts suggest and he could be the value in the race. He was a recent finalist in the and he handled himself well in that series.

Bruce Tycoon appears to be going from strength to strength at present and if he can get across from the poor draw he should make some type of impact, however his lack of early speed is a big concern.

Ikaku Bale is a huge talent and it's hard to ignore his eye popping 29.60 Meadows win from this draw two runs back. Tonight he has the luxury of a couple of slow beginners being drawn directly on his outside so with an even getaway he should have sufficient speed to hold them out at the first bend and if he replicates his Meadows run he should be running around the 29.20 mark.

Boxhead appears to be the speed runner in the event and if he crosses the red early he could prove hard to catch. He has scored some blistering 450m wins in his career to date and if he can bring that form to town he should give a great sight.

Amaro Bale is never far away in this class and he will be strong in the run home, I dont think he can win tonight but he might be a good anchor for second and third in your exotic bets.

Elfen Bale is blessed with explosive early speed and she appears to be getting stronger with every run. Three starts back she flew early and beat a similar lineup when posting an impressive 30.02 Meadows win. If she can show a similar turn of speed tonight she should lead from go to whoa.

Tobias Kelton is a strong and highly promising chaser and he will continue to get better as he rises in distance. Last week he turned in a powerful performance to score here in 29.86 and a repeat of that effort will see him feature.

Allmendinger is the intriguing runner, since coming from NSW he hasn't really delivered on his early potential, however last time out he showed a glimpse of it when placed at Warragul over 460m.

Lissa Breen is well drawn and she is in good form, the only concern with her is that she has only been placed in one of six here.

Tough race to finish but if Twelfth Man can get away cleanly he should be right in the mix. He has only had the 12 starts but he has scored some sizzling wins in his career to date and his latest victory was over this trip in an impressive 29.56. He just needs to time the start and he should get all the breaks.

Shared Bonus has won three on the trot and he continues to impress. He has won over this journey previously and in that win he posted a zippy 5.06 to the first marker, if he can reproduce that he should give them something to catch.

Danyo's Tom has won his past two here and he has been pinging the lids, the box draw is a worry but his two recent wins have come from similar draws.

Top Four: 1 – 4 – 6 – 3
