Dyna Alchemist appears to have put it altogether now and he should notch up a hat trick of wins. After a string of luckless efforts, he showed a lot more track sense when scoring back to back Meadows wins and on both times he beat quality line ups. From the red tonight he should be able to punch through at the first bend and if he does hold the lead he should be running good time on the bunny.

Grand Faith has been racing in consistent style of late and four of his seven career victories have come from the pink draw. He has won here previously in a sizzling 29.49 and on that occasion he did go an impressive 5.07 to the first marker. Lamia Bale is another reliable beginner and she was far from disgraced when placed here last week. She is probably better suited to The Meadows but she is still good enough to feature in this type of event. Dynamo's Gift is a super talent when on song and he could be the smokey in a race like this. From the six box he should start at double figure odds but he is right up to these talent wise.

7TRAIL BLAZING [5]33542NBTT Womann (Lara)
8SAMUS ALLEN (NSW)[5]41121FSHJ Hunt (Avalon)

Samus Allen has won 11 of her 15 career starts and she is a star in the making. She is probably better suited to a rails draw but she is armed with a tremendous turn of foot and with a clean getaway she should have no trouble in crossing early. Last week at The Meadows she led from go to whoa and in the process of stopping the clock in a slick 29.99 she reeled off very smart sectionals.

Reckless Brown is always thereabouts in these types of races and he broke through for a well deserved metro win when scoring at The Meadows on Saturday night in 30.23. His racing pattern suggests that he will need to lead to win but as long as he settles in the top three he should make his presence felt. Trail Blazing has struggled here in the past but he has been racing in much stronger company of late. He is likely to settle mid pack but if the favourites happen to find a little bother up front he may just run over the top of them late. Velocemente is another run on type and he has raced well here in the past, he is going to need a lot of breaks in running but he may be worth an each way ticket if he starts at silly odds.

Dyna Kayla is stepping back up to the staying journey tonight and she looks well graded in this event. She had been racing well over the sprint trip and she then stepped up to the middle distance at The Meadows last week, on that occasion she settled just behind the leader and she appeared to find the line quite well when placed behind My Bro Fabio. She is a much better chaser on the bunny and she should be able to get a cheap lead tonight. She is likely to start short odds tonight but she does appear to be a moral.

Mystic Twist has been racing well over the 600m journey of late and she gives the indication that the extra distance won't pose too many problems. Two starts ago she led from the outset and scored by a whopping 12 lengths at The Meadows in 34.63, I don't think she can go with Dyna Kayla but she won't be far away in the run home. Zipping Makka rarely wins these days but he is rarely far away, he is likely to settle mid pack and he should be hitting the line strongly.

Leprechaun Macey is returning from a lengthy spell but prior to heading to the paddock she posted a 42.49 Meadows win. It is always a tough ask to win first up over this journey but she is in very good hands and she should be primed for a bold first up showing.

Penance Allen has been racing in super fashion over the middle distance of late and her racing pattern suggests that she shouldn't have too much trouble with the step up in distance. Her effort when placed here last week behind Mepunga Hayley was great because she got snagged back early but she really powered to the line as they turned for home. Ever Alert is another making his staying debut and he also indicates that he should be able to handle the extra distance. Two starts ago he hit the line hard when scoring at The Meadows in 34.72 and on that occasion he downed quite a strong field. Hession Boots has won three of his past four starts and he might be good value in this type of event.

8PRUE BALE (NSW)[5]8851729.42(4)A Dailly (Anakie)

Prue Bale showed a return to form at when scoring in 25.88 recently and from the pink draw tonight she should get every chance. This is probably one of the weakest races she has contested for quite a while and when given some space in the early stages she is capable of showing a tremendous turn of speed. Her record here isn't flashy but in her only win here she did reel off a blistering 29.42.

Cosmic Wise can be very hard to follow at times but her effort behind Buckle Up Mason two starts back was super impressive. She does her best racing when she is on the bunny and with a lack of speed drawn around her she should get plenty of room in the first 50m. Galahad struggles to win at this venue but he is never far away. He hasn't been racing with a lot of luck in recent times and if he can get across in the early stages he should be a major player at the line. Skinny Vinnie could be the blowout chance, his recent efforts have been far from desirable but from the red draw he should be able to regain some confidence. He should get plenty of room early and he does have a more than handy 29.57 PB over this trip.

8ASTRONOMIC (WA)[4]2111329.61(4)D Mcdonald (Devon Meadows)

Especially does her best racing from this draw and prior to her two recent luckless runs she was in career best form. Her two previous starts from this draw have resulted in wins with the latest being at in a smart 28.17, the most impressive part of that performance was that she was able to hold off the exciting Shot To Bits, he has recently franked that form with a blistering 29.31 Sandown Park win. There isn't a whole lot of speed drawn directly on her outside and she should get every chance to hold the early lead.

Astronomic is expected to start favourite but I think he is a big risk from the pink draw. From boxes six to eight he has had six starts and he is yet to taste victory. Heidi Go Seek appears to be the main danger, she loves racing over this trip and she is drawn to get a nice sit on Especially in the early stages. She clearly isn't in peak form at present but she is still good enough to be a factor here. Allen Malik and Soho Rhythm are two chasers who have been racing well in recent times and they must be included in your quaddies. Both are drawn to get fairly clear passages early and if the inside two make any mistakes they should be thereabouts to capitalise.

Whodat Knockin' has grown a leg since joining the powerful Thompson camp and with an ounce of luck in the first 50m he should make light work of this lot. Three starts ago he showed an amazing turn of speed when scoring at Shepparton in 25.24 and earlier this year he showed his versatility by setting the track alight with a 33.99 win here. So if he can show the same speed he showed at Shepparton then he should lead from go to whoa here.

He Isn't Really has been racing in great style of late and he really powered to the line when scoring here in 34.44 two runs back. He can be a little hit or miss at box rise but he does like to use a bit of the track, so the wide draw shouldn't pose too many problems. Dyna Geldof is stepping up in journey and he should settle in the first two early. There is some doubt about him running out the trip but his efforts here over 515m suggest that he should be able to handle the extra distance. Bazza's Gift is well drawn out wide and he could be the one to cause a blowout.

Fantastic Line-up and I think it is going to be a great battle between Marcus Joe and the freakish Allen Deed. I'm going with the early speed of Marcus Joe, he was a tad disappointing in the state final at The Meadows recently but four runs back he did look ultra impressive when scoring here in 29.34. Apart from the red, there isn't a whole lot of speed underneath him so he shouldn't have too many problems finding the rail in the early stages.

Allen Deed is a freak talent and his 25.24 Geelong win four runs back was one of the best and biggest wins I have seen for quite a while. The only negative with him is that he can be a little slow to begin at times and he is going to need all the breaks as they head into the first turn. Jewel Bale rounds out the genuine winning chances for mine, she had been racing without any luck until she regained some confidence with a dazzling 30.16 Cranbourne win last week. She is likely to get back early on but she has won three of five over this journey and she has great track sense and has the ability to weave her way through the field.

8SIR GAZZA [5]54166NBTR Britton (Lara)

Bekim Hatrick is a very consistent chaser and he gets his chance to break through over this journey. In recent times her has been racing in strong company and he hasn't experienced a lot of luck in running. Tonight he has the luxury of a wide runner drawn on his outside and that should allow him to get a relatively trouble free run into the first bend. He is normally very strong in the run to the line and it's hard to see him getting rolled if he can settle in the top three.

Dewana Babe is a real up and comer and she recently scored a sizzling 37.27 win. She appears well drawn out wide tonight and her racing pattern suggests that she shouldn't have too trouble in covering the extra ground. Liara Allen has been handily placed in her past four runs and she is likely to settle in the first three early. She has struggled in the run home in her two previous tries here, however those efforts where in much stronger company and she should have derived a lot of benefit from those runs.

8DARBAIN DASHER [5]66662NBTR Conway (Bunyip)

Dyna Perseus is a super talent and I know he can be costly at times but he really does have panels on this lot. Two starts ago he scorched the sand when scoring at in 32.41 and if he can ping the lids here he will really test the clock. It is a fairly steady line-up so you will be asked to take short odds but he really does look to be a moral.

Lady Toy has been placed in two of her three tries over this journey and she should be running home into a place again. Her box manners and lack of early pace always make it hard for her but if the favourite makes a mistake and there is some shuffling up front she may just run over the top of them late. Echelonic Action turned in a monster effort when placed behind Xylia Allen here three runs back and if he can get away cleanly he should be in the mix for a long way. I still have my doubts that he can run a strong 700m but if he gets the fly early he may pinch the prize.

Gorham bale is a highly promising speedster and he was very stiff when placed here last week from the red. Surprisingly he is probably better drawn out in the seven and if he can get away on terms he should have enough natural speed to cross to the lead. His win here three runs back was ultra impressive when recording a blistering 29.42 and a repeat of that effort would see him put a space in this lot.

Lonesome Jett has been a little disappointing in her two metro efforts after scoring four explosive provincial wins to kick start her career. She has been a tad slow to begin in her two tries here but from the red she should be able to poke through and hold the early lead, she has proven in her brief career that she is very fast on the bunny and that might be all she needs to regain some confidence. Fabio was an impressive all the way winner here two weeks ago in 29.74 and he showed smart early speed in that effort. I thought he had the ability to go a bit quicker than that and being in the strong Greenough kennel I would expect that he would have derived a lot of benefit from that run.

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:52PM

Sonic Pirate was very impressive when placed here behind Eliza Blanche here two runs back and he is drawn to go one better tonight. On that occasion he showed blistering early speed and it took the exciting Eliza Blanche an eternity to reel him in. If he can show similar early speed tonight he should be able to hold the early lead and he is likely to prove too strong for his rivals.

Jubilea Bale regained some confidence and returned to form with a commanding 30.45 Cranbourne win last week. She normally shows good early speed in her races and she has won here previously in a classy 29.57. Dyna Fancy is never far away in these types of races and he early speed means that she is always a chance. I don't think she is good enough to win this event but she must be included in all your exotic bets.
