Race 1 – 515M Grade 5 – 7:08PM

The exciting Filante has won four of his six starts to date and he is drawn to feature again. In early April he recorded his debut win from this draw in a sizzling 29.78 and tonight he has the luxury of slow beginners drawn directly outside, so he should be able to drive to the early lead and score. There are a couple of handy types in this event so you may be able to land $3.00 or a little better.

Joey Valdez is likely to start equal favourite and his last three starts have been super impressive. After scoring back to back wins here in slick times, he produced a big performance when runner up to the in form Mepunga Hayley. The box draw is a little concern tonight, but he is a major player with an ounce of luck. Lord Vader has got plenty of gears and he is much better than his past few runs suggest. If he gets out to double figures, he is worth a saver bet.

Top Four: 1 – 7 – 6 – 4

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Filante and Lord Vader (more on Filante).

Race 2 – 715M Grade 5 Final – 7:25PM

Based on last week's heat performance, it really is hard to look past Luna Jinx. This highly promising stayer scored by an enormous 13 lengths and in the process stopped the clock in a breathtaking 41.68. The only knock on her is that she doesn't like to be crowded in her races and she can be a tad unreliable at times, however there doesn't appear to be a lot of speed around her and she should be in the mix throughout. You will be asked to take short odds, but she does look to be a good thing.

Lady Toy has continued to show improvement in recent weeks and in her strong heat performance she showed that the step up in journey was no concern. Tonight's race features a couple of chasers who aren't true stayers and with an ounce of luck early she should be able to pick them off late in the race. Kim Keeping and Zipping Basil appear to be the only other winning chances.

Top Four: 3 – 5 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3/2,4,5/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 3,5/2,3,4,5/Field ($36 for $1)

Race 3 – 515M Special Event Heat One – 7:44PM

Going for a little bit of value in this event. Oakvale Flash and Heidi Go Seek are the two class runners and both are likely to start at short odds, but I'm tipping the very consistent Missile Flash to cause a boil over. After winning at The Meadows in handy time, she recorded three impressive placings here and in the latest she was beaten by the explosive Deadly Clear. She should be able to settle on the speed and at around the $8.00 mark she will give you an almighty run for your money.

Oakvale Flyer is a tremendous talent who was recently placed here in the Group One Sapphire Crown Final. Obviously tonight's race is a much easier assignment, but I'm a little concerned that she may be posted wide for most of the trip. Heidi Go Seek has a top record here and if she can get near her 29.41 PB she should be a major player. She has been racing over longer journeys of late so she may have lost a little of her early zip.

Top Four: 4 – 7 – 3 – 2

Suggested Bet: Each Way bet on Missile Flash

Race 4 – 595M Grade 5 – 8:08PM

Ultor Bale has recorded four consecutive placings at this track and I think he gets his chance to break through here. In recent efforts he has been missing the start and hitting the line hard. Tonight he has a smart beginner drawn underneath, so he should get a clear passage and a nice cart across in the initial stages. There are a couple of smart ones engaged in this event so that means you should be able to get overs about this one. I'm tipping he will go around at $8.00 or better.

Go Mobo has been placed in his past two tries over this journey and he appears to be getting stronger with every run. He should be setting a cracking pace out in front and if he can continue to improve on his past two efforts he is sure to be in the finish. Proven Trendy appears to be the other winning hope. He is a very fast animal when given clear galloping room and he should be better suited to than The Meadows, which is where he has done his recent racing.

Top Four: 6 – 5 – 3 – 8

Suggested Bets: Win bet on Ultor Bale, rove in quinella with 3,5,8.

Race 5 – 515M Special Event Heat Two – 8:28PM

Wise Ella does her best racing at this venue and she is much better than her recent form suggests. She has been missing the kick of late, but from her favourable draw I'm tipping that she will begin a lot better tonight and find herself in the firing line through the first bend. If she can find the early she will be running time and at double figure odds she appears to be great value.

Oakvale Destiny is the clear danger, last start she roared home to capture the One Sapphire Crown Final and in her brief career to date she has scored some scorching wins. Like her litter sister earlier in the night, the box draw doesn't help, but she is classy enough to overcome it. Duchess Bale appears to be the only other winning hope. She is very consistent and like Wise Ella, she is very fast on the bunny.

Top Four: 8 – 7 – 5 – 1

Suggested Bets: Each Way Bet on Wise Ella, rove in quinella with 1,5,7.

Race 6 – 595M Mixed 4/5 – 8:52PM

The speedy Easton Bale is facing a significant drop in class and he finds himself in a race which he should be able to lead clearly. In the past he has done his best racing when on the bunny and he shouldn't get too much pressure applied tonight. The last 40 metres is always a concern, but at around the $5.00 mark he will give you a great sight.

Cornelius Fudge is stepping back up to the middle distance journey and in recent months he has been matching it with the state's best sprinters. When he last raced over this trip he had recorded a couple of handy wins and since then I think he has found at least three to four lengths, which means he will take a power of beating. Hala Belle must also be respected. She has been racing in some strong staying events of late and if she can improve her box manners she is better suited to this trip.

Top Four: 7 – 2 – 4 – 8

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Easton Bale and Cornelius Fudge.

Race 7 – 515M Special Event Heat Three – 9:11PM

Prue Bale has been quite costly of late but I am happy to give her one more chance. I'm tipping that she will step a lot better tonight and with a mad railer drawn underneath, she should get a clear run initially. In recent months she has scored some slick 595m wins here and she has a smart 29.42 PB, a repeat of that will see her win comfortably.

Mepunga Moss has won four of her seven tries here and like Prue Bale she has a slick PB here of 29.45. Normally a , she should have sufficient speed to settle on the pace and be in a position to apply pressure to Prue Bale throughout. Spring Leaf is facing her toughest test to date and she may have trouble crossing the inside division, place claims appear best for her.

Top Four: 3 – 2 – 5 – 1

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Prue Bale.

Race 8 – 515M Free For All – 9:35PM

Awesome Project has been pinging the lids of late and racing in devastating fashion. Tonight he has the benefit of two slow beginners drawn underneath and that should allow him to fire to the early lead again. If he does find the early lead it is really hard to find something that is capable of reeling him in. You are unlikely to get generous odds about him, but he really does look well placed again tonight.

Gold Town returned to his brilliant best here last week with a slick 29.50 win. The most impressive part of that win was the fact that he managed to reel in the very strong Allen Eryk. Tonight he exits the same draw and he should be in the mix throughout. Mepunga Armagh had the benefit of an inside draw in last week's win here and he obviously has the talent to mix it with these sprinters, but he will need a lot of luck in the early stages. Nockabout Aussie is a frustrating chaser. He is capable of reeling off breathtaking sectionals but consistency is not one of his strong points.

Top Four: 3 – 1 – 2 – 6

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3/1,2,6/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 1,2,3/1,2,3/Field ($36 for $1)

Race 9 – 715M Mixed 4/5 – 9:55PM

Allen Deed looks perfectly placed out wide and he should find this a lot easier than last week's placing behind the freakish Xylia Allen. Normally a reliable beginner, he should have no trouble finding the early lead again. In his two staying efforts to date he has appeared to tire late, however he appeared to hit the line a lot better in his second effort. Third up he should be primed to run out the trip.

Infinite Wish is much better than her recent form suggests and unlike most of her competitors, she is a genuine stayer. In recent times she has been racing against the countries best stayers and with a clear run early she should find this more to her liking. Born Ali and Tarks Nemesis appear to be the only other winning hopes. Both race best on the speed, but it is unlikely that either of these two will find the lead tonight.

Top Four: 8 – 2 – 6 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Allen Deed

Trifecta: 2,8/2,8/Field ($10 for $1)

Race 10 – 515M Special Event Heat Four – 10:14PM

Mepunga Hayley has finally put it all together and if she reproduces her 29.33 win here from last week she should gap this lot. After a string of disappointing efforts, she has scored three breathtaking wins on the trot. She has been known to miss the kick in the past but if she is on song tonight she appears to be a moral.

Amadeus Strikes appeared to be gone and bound for retirement a couple of months back, but she appears to have found her best again. She is armed with a great turn of foot and she looked impressive when crossing from a wide draw in her 29.82 win. Searle Bale is armed with a strong finish and if she can get through the first bend unscathed she has the ability to score.

Top Four: 5 – 6 – 4 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Mepunga Hayley.

Race 11 – 515M Mixed 4/5 – 10:38PM

Ollie Bale has been racing without any sort of luck recently and tonight if he can begin a little better he should find himself in a more prominent position early. He has won here previously in a sizzling 29.36 and a repeat of that will see him get the cash at nice odds. Al Moran is a railer and that should help Ollie Bale gain a clear passage as they head into the first turn.

Jordan Allen is a bit of a smokey in this event. His last two runs here have been super impressive, with the latest being a top placing behind gun chaser Mepunga Armagh. He has a great turn of foot but he can also ping the lids on occasions and at double figure odds he may be worth a saver bet. Surf Mail clearly has the class edge but I don't think he is well placed in the red alley. Obviously with an ounce of luck early he will feature. Lektra Hawk and Hello Good Bye also have winning chances, both can show early speed and are quite strong. It is a very open race but the value appears to be with Ollie Bale and Jordan Allen.

Top Four: 8 – 6 – 1 – 4

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Ollie Bale and Jordan Allen (more on Ollie Bale).

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:58PM

The last race on the card is very tough with three up and coming stars set to do battle. The Glenn Rounds trained Anything Less is unbeaten in five starts to date and has shown that he doesn't have to lead to win his races. The most impressive of his five wins was three starts ago when he captured the Group Three Maiden Classic at Wentworth Park in a dazzling 29.62. I think he has enough speed to find the front tonight and he should be running sub 29.30 on the bunny.

Where's The Surf is the most accomplished of the three stars and he exits a draw in which he has won four of seven tries. After a string of luckless efforts he finally returned to form with a slick 30.49 win last week. From his favourable draw he should settle in the first three and be in contention throughout. Deadly Clear is a ridiculous talent, but I have noticed that in his past two wins he has missed the kick and been given enough room to muster speed. Tonight I don't think he will be given as much room and I think he will do it a little tough. Obviously he still must be considered as he did set the track alight with a 29.12 win here recently.

Top Four: 5 – 1 – 3 – 6

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Anything Less.
