Leg 1 – Sale – Race 5: Crucify To Place (Top Two Finish) $2.25
Crucify has been a little disappointing in recent months but he is clearly better than that and from the red draw he should get every chance to return to the winners list. Last week he was a tad slow to begin in his heat but he worked to the line nicely when placed, from the inside he should just about be able to hold the early lead and he will take some running down on the lure. The $4.80 on offer for the win appears to be a nice price but the place option appears to be much safer for the multi.
Leg 2 – Sale – Race 10: Time Dimension To Place $3.20
Time Dimension doesn't win too often but he is never far away in his races and he will be steaming home at the end. There is an even spread of speed in this event so I'm expecting there to be a fair bit of shuffling up front and that should work in his favour. I don't think he can win this event but at $3.20 for the place he appears to be good value.
Leg 3 – Sandown Park – Race 5: Fast Boloney To Place $2.38
Fast Boloney is stepping up in distance and his recent efforts on the provincial circuit suggest that he will be suited to this distance range. Last time out he was slow to begin but he managed to charge home and score at Geelong in 26.53, the time wasn't flashy but the manner in which he won was quite impressive. This race isn't overly strong and with some luck in the early stages he should be able to run into the placings.
