Dark Jameson can be a little hard to follow at times but there is no doubting he has a heap of talent and he really caught the eye when scoring at recently in a sizzling 25.19. On that occasion he speared the lids and showed tremendous speed and he was never in doubt. If he can step cleanly again tonight he should be able to roll to the early lead and they will find it difficult to get past him.

Short Cake Cloud is the clear and obvious danger, she came here with great Queensland form and she has been runner up in her three Victorian runs. She can be a little hit or miss early but she does muster quite well and if she settles in the top three early she should be right there at the end.

Dyna Shinko is better than her recent form suggests and she will hit the line solidly, she has a great record here and with some luck in running she has the talent to cause an upset.

Master Tron is the interesting runner, he has explosive speed when given room but he is poorly drawn tonight, if he goes around at silly odds he could be worth a saver bet.

10SPRING MILLIE (NSW)[5]Res.2554630.68(8)H Collins (Lara)

Dyna Tiber can be costly at times but he did return to his best with a dazzling 30.09 win here last week and if he repeats that effort he should be winning. He has a very slow beginner drawn directly on his outside, so if he can step cleanly he should be able to push through and hold a top three spot early and he will be very strong in the run home.

Mendes has been racing in solid fashion of late and she is blessed with brilliant early speed. She should get a nice cart across from the three in the early stages and if she can assume control mid race she might be able to steal the event at nice odds.

Bowl ‘Em Out will be well fancied and he is unbeaten in his only two tries here, he will need some luck in running but if he gets it he will prove hard to hold out.

Awesome Cove rounds out the serious hopes, he has the speed to lead but I'm not convinced that he can run a true 525-metres. If he finds the top he could get a nice lead mid race and that should allow him to run a place but he will need to lead clearly to feature.

Top Four: 1 – 4 – 6 – 3

10CAIRNLEA FLASH [6]Res.26325NBTP Herry (Mortlake)

Get Up Dinozzo is a serious talent and he has been placed in one of his two runs here. He isn't a great beginner but he does muster speed quite well and he looked impressive when he powered home to score at in 30.25. If he can get through the first bend unscathed he should be able to make a good move mid race and I would expect him to be in the finish.

Living Waters is expected to find the top early and he should give a bold sight. Last week at Geelong he reeled off impressive sectionals before being run down in the closing stages, I dont think he can win again tonight but he should finish in the placings.

Mine Craft continues to improve and he has a great record to date. He is clearly a great chance tonight but I'm a little concerned about the speed in four and five, so I wouldn't be willing to take short odds.

Alpha Zeus has strong claims, he should match motors with the four early and he should hang in for a long way.

10BENZO BALE (NSW)[5]Res.5654230.12(1)N Davis (Lara)

Aeroplane Cindy has now had four runs since a long spell and she has continued to get better with every run and in her latest effort she showed great early speed when narrowly beaten over this track and trip. From the red I'm expecting her to show enough dash to hold them out and if she can head to the back in front she should be able to break away and establish a race winning lead.

Bruce Tycoon is one of the most honest chasers in training and he is bursting to break through. He was luckless in his latest effort here but prior to that he had strung together six consecutive placings with one of those being a strong win at Park. If he can avoid early bother he should make an impact.

Messidonna Cloud has had no luck in his three Victorian runs and he comes here with big wraps. He is armed with great mid race speed and if he can balance up in the top four early he should be right in the mix.

Express Pace is going to be fairly well fancied, he is a solid chance but I would be happy to risk him from the wide draw.

It will be worthwhile including Zipping Eastwood and Dyna Keitaro in your exotics, both are very strong and they can sneak into the placings.

9VOLKSJAGER BLUE [5]Res.76265FSTDP Ryder (Corio)
10UNCLE ANT [6]Res.56435FSHP Rowley (Denison)

Shanlyn Lucy has been racing in good style of late and if she can reproduce the effort that saw her win at in a slick 41.38 she should be winning again tonight. The box draw is a small disadvantage but she does have good speed and there are slow beginners drawn all around her. If you can get around the $3.50 mark with William Hill that is great value.

Feikuai Polly is a more than handy stayer and she is always a chance in these types of races. She tends to always find one better in her races but she is very honest and she could be a good anchor for second and third in your exotic bets.

Global Lad is expected to lead for a long way and he should give a cheeky sight. His last 50-metres is always a worry over this distance range but if he gets away mid race he could steal the prize.

Miss Bo Wicked and Cosmic Vee Bee must be included in your quaddie bets, both are more than capable on their night and with some luck in running they could salute.

9ZEPPELIN BALE (NSW)[4]Res.7855129.95(2)N Davis (Lara)

Trail Blazing has been racing in consistent fashion in recent weeks and he returns to a track where he has had a lot of success. There isn't a lot of speed drawn around him tonight so if he can step cleanly he should settle in the top three early and he is very strong in the run home. This is quite a class drop for him and he could be over the odds at the $5 mark with William Hill.

Midnight Flynn is clearly the best chaser in the race and with a clear passage he will be winning, however he isn't the best of beginners and he has a heap of speed drawn on his outside. I'm a little concerned that he might get squeezed out.

Crackerjack Burn is a and he should be able to cross and assume control at the first bend, he isn't overly strong but if they shuffle up behind him that might allow him to steal the prize.

Polly Bale must be included in your exotic bets, she has a good record here and she is much better than her form suggests.

10VOLKSJAGER BLUE [5]Res.76265NBTP Ryder (Corio)

Sugar Lips is stepping up in distance tonight and her recent efforts suggest that she should be suited. From the red draw I'm expecting her to hold the early lead and with her great dash she should be able to get away mid race. The last 60-metres is obviously a concern but she has hit the line well enough over the 500-metre journeys recently to suggest that she can handle this.

Rumero Reason is the run on type in the event and with some luck in running he should be able to make an impact. He has won five races over this trip and he should appreciate the drop in class tonight.

Starc is a classy stayer when on song and he returns to the track after 6 weeks off, I'm expecting him to show a little more early dash and if he can settle in the first half of the field he will be very strong in the run home.

Why Not Wayne could be the value in the race, he is suited to the wide draw and he can ping the lids on occasions. He has been doing most of his racing over the longer journeys of late but he is much better suited to this distance range.

Allen Deed is a beast and although he is poorly drawn it is very hard to tip against him. He is returning to the track after having seven weeks off and he should sprint very well fresh. He is going to move right at box rise but he generally shows a lot more early speed when fresh and there is every chance he might hold them out early.

Marcus Joe has a terrific record here and he has been a great chaser for quite a while now. He should step away quite well and I would expect him to match motors with the inside two in the early stages. He has a blistering 29.66 PB here and he has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in his races.

Jayney Bale is another who excels here and she could be over the odds, she has slow beginners drawn around her tonight and she does possess good early toe. If she is over the odds she could be worth an each way ticket.

Lektra Utopia rounds out the chances, he will settle in the top two early and he did score here five runs back in 29.90, a repeat of that will see him feature in the finish.

Lunar Eclipse is an excitement machine and if he reproduces the run which saw him win here in an eye popping 29.57 they won't get anywhere near him. He can miss away at times so he is a bit of a risk, however he is too good to take a chance on. If you can get around the $2.50 mark with William Hill he is worth a bet. If not, it might be best to just anchor him up front in your exotic bets.

Sacramento Sal should have enough speed to cross the inside two and she should lead for a long way. Two starts back she scored a speedy 25.82 Geelong win and if the favourite isn't on her hammer she should hold on.

Hercules Bale does his best racing here and he will be charging home at the end. I dont think he can win the event but he should be able to sneak home into third or fourth spot.

Missile Flash must also be kept safe, she has been placed in her past two runs here and on both occasions she has shown plenty of early speed.

Lochinvar Impact is in good hands and he finally returned to his best with a brilliant 29.43 Sandown Park win last time. He is having his first look at the track tonight but he has a keen railer and slow beginner underneath so he should get every chance to carve across and settle in a prominent spot. He is better than these so with a clear run he should win.

Cosmic Yap has scored some blistering provincial wins in recent weeks and he has been placed in three of four here. He has the speed to settle in a prominent spot early and he could make the favourite work hard for victory.

Kraken Flash is the interesting runner, she has been running the hands off the clock in her past five wins and she is blessed with ridiculous talent. The only concern with her is that she doesn't like to be crowded and she will need some luck in the early stages.

Lektra Concord is a lid pinger and he has won four of his past seven in fine style. There is a bit of speed drawn out wide tonight but if he can step on terms he should have sufficient pace to hold them out and he is a hard chaser to get past when on the . He should be around the $4 mark with William Hill and that appears to be good value.

I'm Misha Doll is another with good speed and she should be able to camp just behind the three for most of the trip, I dont think she can reel him in but she should be able to fill the quinella spot.

Exuberant is a little hit or miss early but from the pink draw he should get plenty of time to balance up, if he can avoid bother he should be able to make his way into contention mid race.

Lakerville is blessed with a heap of talent but his box manners can sometimes let him down, however from the red draw he should step a lot better than normal and I would then expect him to outpace his rivals. He will be fairly short so instead of backing him straight out, it might be best to just anchor him up front in your exotics.

Eroll Bale scored a commanding 30.19 win here last time and he should give a bold showing again, I dont think he can hold the red out in the run home but he should hang on for the quinella spot.

Brown Bomber is showing plenty of promise and with a clear run he could give the favourite something to think about, I'm just a little concerned about the box draw.

Mystic Twist is a classy stayer and she should sprint well fresh, she won't be in the mix early but she could sneak home into third spot.

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 6 – 8
