The Meadows greyhounds – form, tips and race comments May 23 2015

A QUALITY card will be run at The Meadows tonight featuring some talented chasers all after a metropolitan winner's cheque.

To help you find some winners, Australian Racing Greyhound's tipster Brad Bugeja has been studying the form to bring you a comprehensive preview of the entire meeting.

Memphis Jookin' can be very hard to follow at times but he returned to form at Horsham with a commanding 27.33 heat win and if he can reproduce that type of effort he will prove very hard to hold out. He has won one of four here overall and his PB of 30.18 is more than competitive. He can show great early speed in his races and with a clean getaway he should be able to get across in the early stages.

Zulekha has been racing in consistent fashion in recent weeks and he can ping the lids in his races. The box draw is a small concern tonight but if he can get out on terms he should be able to push through into a prominent spot early.

Triple Lindy is going to be very well fancied and she has solid claims. She will match motors with her kennelmate in six for most of the journey but I dont think she has the strength to hang on in the closing stages.

Tommy El could add some value to your exotic bets, he will get too far back to win but he can run home into some minor money.

Soda Man is an exciting prospect and with any sort of luck in running he should be winning with ease. Last time out he was slow to begin but he quickly went into overdrive and he assumed control mid race, from there on he powered to the line and he scored in convincing style and posted a smart 32.80 at Horsham. The bend start is a little concern for him but he has two slow beginners on his outside so he should get plenty of room to drive through.

Seeking Justice is likely to start favourite and he is the clear danger, he has won two of his three tries over this trip and he owns an ultra impressive 34.35 PB. He is a great winning chance but I think he will be under the odds tonight because he will find it tough to cross from the wide draw.

Sir Bekim could be the value, he has been racing in terrific fashion and he turned in a great effort when placed behind Seeking Justice at Horsham last time out. He should be in the firing line for most of the journey and he could be worth an each way ticket.

Half Way There is better than his form reads and he could sneak into the placings, he has the speed to settle near the lead and he must be respected.

Midnight Flynn was very unlucky here last time out and he appears better suited to the wider draw tonight. After beginning slowly, he was shuffled back early and never a factor when soundly beaten last week, from the wider draw tonight I expect him to be up there vying for the early lead and he should assume control with a lap to go. The last 30-metres might be a struggle but he should be too far in front and he will hang on for victory.

Secret Spell has been very disappointing of late but she is much better than that and if she can step away and settle near the speed she should run an improved race. She has recorded some breathtaking wins here and at Sandown over the 500-metre distance range and if she regained that form she would take some catching.

Mystic Twist recently powered home to score here over 525-metres in 30.20 and she should be suited by the rise in distance. The box draw doesn't suit but she has a wide runner on her outside so she shouldn't find too much bother.

If you're looking for some value, Master Tron could be the one. He is blessed with enormous talent but he just doesn't show it that often, if he decides to switch on he is good enough to win a race like this.

Jamiela Twist is making her staying debut tonight but she gives every indication that this trip will suit and she has a great record at this track. Last time out she assumed control soon after the start and she scored in commanding fashion when posting an impressive 37.68 at Warrnambool. She hit the line with plenty in hand and she should have no trouble covering the extra 75-metres.

Zipping Geoff has taken a little while to find his best form since coming from NSW but he has put together two nice performances at Sandown and Warrnambool in recent weeks and he appears to be ready to fire. From the pink draw he should get a clear run early and if he can balance up in the top four early he will prove very hard to hold out.

Berry Blitz is much better than her form suggests and she should be in the mix for a long way. She has won here previously in a solid 42.69 and a repeat of that effort will see her figure prominently.

Vernon Bale rounds out the chances, he doesn't win a lot of races but he does finish strongly and he is a must for your exotic bets.

This is a great race and I think we can find some value with the powerful Dyna Nihilist. I'm expecting the one and three to dominate the race early and they should be going stride for stride for a long way. If the two can drive through at the first turn and settle mid field he should be able to make a strong move mid race and he will then power past them as they turn for home. He should be each way odds and he looks a really nice bet. Have something on for the win but double the place.

Boxhead has the good draw and he will go with the three for a long way and with the aid of the inside he should be able to hold the three out. He will look the winner for most of the trip but he does get a stitch in the final 30-metres.

Dewana Result is one of the most gifted chasers in training and if he gets a clear crack at them he will win, however from the wide draw I think he may get posted wide in the early stages and he could be under the odds tonight.

Dewana Hitman rounds out the chances, he has a heap of talent like his brother but he will need some luck in the initial stages.

Very open race and I have decided to go with the early speed of Diva's Shadow. Last week she exploded out and she managed to reel off blistering sectionals before stopping the clock in 34.42 overall. The winning time wasn't the fastest of the heats but like last week she is going to set up a nice lead mid race and that may allow her to steal the prize.

Rumero Reason caught the eye with a strong 34.30 heat win last week and he must be respected again. He is suited to the rails draw and if he can balance up mid field he should be right there at the end.

Recruitment is a class act and he was far from disgraced in his heat last week, if he can settle just behind Diva's Shadow again he should be in the mix as they turn for home.

What's Chewing is a brilliant chaser on his night and if he can cross from the outside he has a great chance of winning. With a keen railer drawn directly underneath he should get every chance to cross early.

Come On Fantasy has been very disappointing of late but she appears well placed in the pink draw tonight and with a good getaway she should be able to burn across to the early lead and that should be the end of the section. Back in January she posted a blistering 34.68 Albion Park win and if she can reproduce that type of form she will simply be too good for her rivals.

Emrys is finally stepping up in distance and he should excel over this distance range. His last couple of runs haven't been great but he has been taking on some serious chasers and with some luck early tonight he should be able to feature. The only concern is that he may get shuffled back early due to his lack of early speed.

Razldazl Pacino can show good early speed in his races and he was an impressive 30.36 Cranbourne winner two runs back, if he can land on the lure tonight he should give them something to catch.

Pride Of Egypt and Why Not Wayne are the only other chances, both are well placed near the inside and they can run some serious times when switched on.

Great FFA race and it should be a great battle between Dawkins Bale and Allen Deed. Dawkins Bale is actually well placed in the middle, he has a heap of speed drawn in box three, so if he can step cleanly he should get a nice cart into the race at the first bend and that should allow him to find the top as they head for the back straight. He is very hard to get past once he leads and I don't think Allen Deed will be able to reel him in.

Allen Deed returned to his best with a powerful 30 flat win here last week. The time wasn't flashy but the manner in which he scored was and if he can avoid early bother tonight he should give Dawkins Bale a fright as they reach the winning post.

Crackerjack Dak should be in the mix in the early stages and he is better than his form suggests, I dont think he can hold the two more fancied runners out but he might be able to hang on for third spot.

Nockabout Aussie is the run on type in the event, he can be hard to follow but he does have a big engine and if they shuffle up in the lead he will be there to pounce at the end.

Weblec Rose has been a little costly in recent weeks but I'm willing to give her another chance. She isn't a genuine middle distance chaser but when she comes out cleanly she is armed with blistering early speed and that should allow her to set up a nice lead mid race and that should be enough for her to score. She will be around the $5 mark tonight and that is great value.

Blue Giant is a powerful chaser and he has been racing well over this distance range at Sandown in recent weeks. From the red he should settle in a prominent spot early and he will prove hard to hold out.

Humming Birdhill has no speed drawn around her tonight so she should be able to settle in the top two early. She does her best racing when she can lead and she should be afforded every opportunity to do so in this event.

Starc is a quality stayer who will be powering home at the end, I dont think he can win but he is a must for your exotic bets.

Duomo Bale is a super talent when switched on and from the red draw tonight he should get every chance to lead fro go to whoa. He can be a little hit or miss early but he generally steps well from the red and he does gather speed at a rate of knots once he hits the ground. There are some talented types in this race but he does appear to be one of the better bets of the night.

Dyna Tiber has finally put it altogether and he is racing in great style at the minute. From the three box he should be able to balance up in the top four early and he will be very strong in the run to the line.

Grand Legacy tends to race fairly well here and he could be the value in the event, he should settle mid field and in this company I would expect him to hit the line fairly well.

Angel Of Music and Shared Bonus are both fast early and they should be in the firing line for most of the trip, however they do hit a wall late and one of them might be able to hold onto third spot.

Astromatic took on FFA company here last week and he led for most of the journey until he got a stitch up the straight. In that race he was pressured mid race and that made him fold up in the closing stages, he should get a fairly cheap lead tonight and I would expect him to prove too good for his rivals.

Fratelli Fresh has been placed in three of four here and she is a class act on her night. She is a little hit or miss early but if she comes out and settles behind the pink early she should make it very interesting as they reach the winning post.

Miss Mayflower could be value. She hasn't won for a while but she can run slick sectionals when given clear running and if the favourite misses away she should be there to capitalise.

Missile Flash rounds out the chances, she has a great record here and from the red she should be afforded all the breaks in the early stages.

Noonbarra Joe is normally a faultless beginner and he has won two of his six tries over this journey. He has a couple of keen railers drawn directly underneath tonight so that should allow him to carve across and assume control at the first bend. This race isn't overly strong so if he does lead he should be winning.

Sacramento Sal is another with a good record here and she has been placed in two of her past three here. From the red she should hold a forward spot early and she should figure in the finish.

Yeates Bale is a super talent when on song but he has been a little costly in his past couple. If he can begin a little better tonight he should be able to make an impact.

Glitterbug and Lektra Hawk are the two run on types and they could add value to your exotic bets.
