Race 1 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:15PM

Dyna Fancy meets a few smart types and she appears to be up in class, however she should be suited by the rails draw and she has sufficient pace to hold the early lead. With a PB of 30.30, if she can hold the lead she should be able to hold on at nice odds.

Xtreme Knocka will start very short odds but I think he is a big risk. He is very unreliable at box rise and he has speed drawn either side. I think he may find too much bother in the early stages. Run Angel Run can show early speed and she is much better than her recent form suggests.

Top Four: 1 – 6 – 7 – 4

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Dyna Fancy and Run Angel Run.

Race 2 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:37PM

Spring Spaniard has been racing without luck in recent weeks and tonight he gets his chance to regain some confidence. There doesn't appear to be a lot of early speed in this event and with his great turn of foot I can see him leading throughout. He is a very fast dog on the bunny and I think this is his race.

Shall She Rock was far from disgraced when placed here last week behind Highbury who then franked that form with a slick Park win Thursday night, if she can avoid early bother she will be a major player. Victoria Pledge looks to be a winning chance also, she has had minimal luck in her three runs here and can atone.

Top Four: 6 – 3 – 5 – 2

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Spring Spaniard.

Race 3 – 600M Grade 5 – 8:00PM

Allen Wake has been racing in much stronger company of late and with an ounce of luck at the first bend he will prove very hard to hold out. Last week he missed the kick before powering to the line for a strong 34.92 win here.

Ralphy Cinel pinged the lids and recorded a slick 9.07 first section in his win here last week and he should be able to set the pace again, obviously Allen Wake is much stronger but if he gets strung up in traffic, Ralphy Cinel may just steal the prize. Zipping Maggie is making her middle distance debut, but she has given every indication that this trip will suit.

Top Four: 2 – 4 – 7 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Allen Wake.

Race 4 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 8:20PM

Inventor has scored some slick wins of late and I think he can improve on his impressive 30.39 heat win. Normally a reliable beginner, he should have no trouble crossing and I think he can run sub 30.15 on the bunny.

Yodeller looms as the main danger, he is another reliable beginner and he tends to do his best racing here. He should settle in the first three and he will be putting pressure on Inventor off the back straight. Lead Into Demise and Spring Charlotte look to be the other main contenders.

Top Four: 8 – 3 – 7 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3,8/3,4,7,8/Field ($36 for $1)

Exacta: 3,8/3,4,7,8 ($6 for $1)

Race 5 – 525M Mixed 4/5 – 8:38PM

Victa Bale has raced well in his four runs from a spell and he really caught my eye when scoring at Shepparton in a sizzling 22.01. He has a top record here and he is armed with early speed. Expected to start around the $6.50 mark he appears to be nice value.

Dyna Filbert is ideally drawn close to the rails and he faces a significant drop in class. He can take a few strides to muster speed but he is a railer and he should get every chance. Spring Leaf is highly promising but she is facing her toughest test and is likely to be under the odds. Brent Bale has been a class act for quite a while and he is still capable of showing up.

Top Four: 4 – 2 – 6 – 3

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Victa Bale and Dyna Filbert.

Race 6 – 600M Grade 5 Final – 8:57PM

I know he doesn't win a lot but is ideally drawn and he looks suited in a race which is packed full of front runners. I think if you can find $3.00 or better fixed for the place, it is worth unleashing on. I have looked over the race numerous times and every leader I find will be falling in a hole late and from his good draw he should be able to settle much closer to the speed and run over the leader in the closing stages.

Based on last week's sectionals, Duchess Bale looks the leader, I'm sure she will have a lot more pressure applied early this week but her slick 34.58 heat win is hard to ignore. She is the likely favourite and this looks to be a solid quinella. Lethal Three is a class act on her night but tonight's wide draw is a big concern, she is a major player if she can make it through the first bend.

Top Four: 1 – 4 – 8 – 2

Suggested Bet: Fixed odds the place on Kayo Marciarno.

Race 7 – 525M Grade 5 – 9:20PM

Very open race and I think we can find some value with former NSW speedster Osteria Mozza. In his three Vic runs so far he has experienced no luck at all and his latest effort when placed at was an eye catcher. He is blessed with early speed when on song and I think he can lead all the way at big odds tonight.

Crackerjack Dak is an enormous talent and he has the class edge, my only concern with him is that he has been missing the kick of late and he must step on terms to feature here. Cobra Bale scored a strong win recently and he has enough talent to pose a threat.

Top Four: 3 – 4 – 8 – 7

Suggested Bet: Each Way bet on Osteria Mozza.

Race 8 – 525M Free For All – 9:40PM

Buckle Up Mason has been racing in career best form and he smashed a similar field here last week when scoring in a sizzling 29.88. His 5.06 first section should see him lead early and score a convincing win.

Dyna Beth was far from disgraced when placed here last week behind Buckle Up Mason. She tends to do her best racing here and with a clean beginning she should be in the mix. Nothing Much probably can't win the race but if you're looking for a solid place bet he may be the one.

Top Four: 2 – 3 – 4 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 2/1,3,4/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 2,3/2,3/Field ($12 for $1)

Race 9 – 600M Mixed 4/5 – 10:05PM

Cosmic Wise was far from disgraced in her handy placing here last week and tonight she meets a significantly weaker field. Last week she broke nine seconds to the first marker and a repeat of that should be enough to lead again. You should get around $4.50 or better which is over's.

Rebelation was never headed in his smart 34.66 win here recently and if he can get through the first bend he is the logical danger. He is likely to start favourite but I do have concerns about him crossing. Bing Gordyn is highly talented on his night and he can cause a boil over at big odds.

Top Four: 7 – 8 – 3 – 1

Suggested Bets: Win bet on Cosmic Wise, rove in quinella with 3 & 8.

Race 10 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:25PM

Coconut Grove looks perfectly drawn and he won't find an easier race. Earlier in the year he recorded his slick 30 flat PB here and I think if he can hold the early lead tonight he has the ability to break 30 seconds.

Ever Alert is showing enormous potential and he powered to the line after finding bother when scoring at Sandown in 30.12, the time wasn't flash but the manner in which he won was. He can be slow to begin in his races so the first 50 metres is crucial. I think there are only two genuine winning chances but Johnny Heritage is well drawn out wide and he has solid place claims.

Top Four: 1 – 3 – 8 – 2

Suggested Bets

Trifecta: 1/3/Field ($6 for $1)

Quinella: 1 to rove with 3 & 8

Race 11 – 600M Grade 5 – 10:42PM

In what is a wide open affair, I've on the trained Allen Orville. He has been racing in consistent form of late and in good company. He can show early speed in his races and he has slow beginners drawn either side tonight, he should get every chance.

Lou Todd was far from disgraced when placed over this trip last week and from his good draw he should be able to settle in a prominent position early. Set The Scene is the interesting runner, he has them all covered for ability but he can bomb the start at times, if he can step cleanly he should be a major player.

Top Four: 7 – 1 – 6 – 4

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Allen Orville and Set The Scene (Set The Scene might be over the odds)

Race 12 – 525M Grade 5 – 11:00PM

I'm hoping the trained Rustic Rocket can send us home on a happy note. His latest win came from this draw at Shepparton in a dashing 25.37 and with a slow beginner underneath he should get plenty of room to muster after box rise. His last 50 metres is always a little suspect, but he should have built up a big enough lead mid race to hang on.

Upset Boy has been placed in six of eight tries here and he has been luckless since his sizzling 27.04 win. He can be very unreliable at box rise but I'm tipping tonight he might step and run a big race. Watta Good Dee is well drawn and she should be able to run a cheeky race, whilst Bayman Bale is a gun dog when on song, watch betting moves with him.

Top Four: 8 – 4 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bet: put the nights profits on Rustic Rocket.

Quaddies

2,3,4,6,7/1,2,4,6,8/3,4/2 ($50 for $1)

4/1,2,4,6,8/3,4,7,8/2 ($20 for $1)
