Good race to kick off the night and I've decided to go with the in form Flying Twist. She has to give the outside division a metre head start but there isn't a lot of speed drawn out wide apart from Starc so if she can step away cleanly she should be able to settle in the top two early. He two recent wins at have been super impressive and with a clear run its hard to see her being beaten.

Starc steps from the front mark and he led for a long way here last week. I think he will hit the line a little better tonight so with a clean getaway he should put himself in a prime position and then figure in the finish. Beks is armed with a monster finish and he only requires an ounce of luck in running to feature. Surprisingly he actually does his best racing here and he is a great dog to anchor for second and third in your exotic bets. Untraceable has been a tad disappointing of late but from the pink tonight he may show a little improvement, if he goes around at silly odds he may be worth a saver bet.

Quantum Bale is an improving type and he looks well placed in this company. He is yet to feature in three runs here but he is a much better race dog this time around and I expect a much improved performance tonight. Last start at he hit the line strongly over the 450m journey when winning in 25.57 and on that occasion he beat the classy Jubilea Bale.

Dina Bale is showing loads of promise having won her past two starts here, her latest win was in an impressive 30.21 but the eye catching part of that effort was her run home time. She is clearly getting stronger with every run and she is drawn to play a major role tonight. Tantrum Tommy hasn't had much luck since scoring here in 30.42 but he has posted some smart placings, he can be slow to begin at times but if he gets some room in the early stages he shouldn't be too far away. Gangnam Style rounds out the chances, he is suitably drawn out wide and he recently beat the promising Weston East at Sandown Park in a more than handy 29.70.

9SISCO FIASCO [5]Res.36327NBTT Galea (Brookfield)
10DYNA ZERG (NSW)[5]Res.51322NBTS Collins (Lara)

Gorham Bale is a class act and he turned in a monster performance to score here last week in 30.38. He can be slow to begin so he will require some luck in running but he is a powerful chaser and if he is within range off the back he will take a power of beating. This track doesn't really suit his racing style but surprisingly he has been placed in all five tries here with two of those efforts being wins.

Bottom Dollar returned to the winners list last week with a classy 30.22 heat win and if he can get away with them on terms he should have enough speed to drive to the lead. Over this journey he will probably need to lead but with a slow beginner on his outside he should get every chance. Thunder Eyes has been placed in two of his four starts here and he has been hitting the line well of late, from the red he should settle a little closer to the speed and he should be in the mix. Dyna Chaser rounds out the chances, he is better suited to a rails draw but he is going well and he must be included in your exotics.

10MADDIE GARI [5]Res.84676FSTDO Fraser (Devon Meadows)

Love Affair is dropping considerably in class tonight and if she can reproduce here 42.95 winning effort from September she will figure in the finish. She normally begins well and with a wide runner drawn on her outside she should get every chance to settle in the top two or three early.

Double Rinse is a litter and kennelmate to Love Affair and she looks well placed to run the quinella. Two starts ago she hit the line strongly when placed behind Scanez Cee at over 545m and she is better suited to this journey. Oscar De Largo is the interesting runner, he is likely to start big odds but his effort when placed here last week behind Shall She Rock was eye catching. Grifter Bale is a handy stayer and he can get into the minor end of the money, he is better suited to a wider draw but he hits the line hard so as long he doesn't get shuffled too far back he should be thereabouts.

8HOOVER JACK [4]6756529.78(5)A Dailly (Anakie)

Ballerino is likely to start a short priced favourite but I think the value could be with Prince To Excel. Last time out he was placed behind the classy Crawf's Bread and he is capable of showing sizzling early speed in his races. Three starts ago he beat a quality line-up at Sandown in 29.67 and a similar effort tonight would see him figure in the finish.

Ballerino continues to impress and he was never headed in his last start 30.20 win. I'm not convinced he runs the trip right out but if he does hold the lead he should be able to build up a nice break mid race. Dyna Glinda is very hit or miss early but she has lots of speed when given room to move in the early stages. She is much better than her recent form reads and she could be nice value. Allen Icarus should settle in the first two or three early and he has been placed in seven of 11 here. Cobra Bale is likely to be well fancied but he is poorly drawn and he will need a lot of things to go his way in the early stages.

Deadly Boy caught the eye with an all the way heat win in 34.46 last week and with a clean getaway he should repeat the dose. He has a great record over both the 525m and 600m journeys and his sectionals from last week have him leading by a couple of lengths as they pass the post the first time.

Heaps Of Ability is well named and if he can get out into some open spaces soon after the start he will be a major player. The draw is against him tonight but he is too good to dismiss. Kayo Marciarno is the run on dog in the event and he is a great anchor for third and fourth in your exotics. He has been placed in eight of his 14 tries here and he could be a great place bet again. Athos was a handy 34.89 heat winner and he races fairly well here, this is a rise in class for him but he must be included in your quaddies.

10DR. SAMSON [5]Res.16464FSHW Mcmahon (Darriman)

Hooksy returns to the city circuit tonight and he looks a moral at $1.20. He couldn't have drawn any better and he showed he is back to his brilliant best when scoring at Shepparton in 25.28 last week. He has a couple of railers drawn underneath so he should get all the breaks in the run to the first turn.

Highbury looks the obvious danger, he was a classy 29.55 Sandown Park winner two runs back and from the red draw he should sit just behind Hooksy for most of the journey. Hot Whirl has broken 30 seconds here previously and if she can cross early she should run a cheeky race at odds, whilst Radinka Bale has more than enough speed to cross but she isn't overly strong, so she may be able to hold on for a place.

8DYNA BETH (NSW)[4]6776130.15(5)A Dailly (Anakie)

The classy Banjo Boy returned to his best form at Sandown Park last week with a dazzling 29.40 win from this draw and a repeat of that type of effort would see him score with ease again. He has won here previously in an eye popping 29.73 and the manner in which he hit the line at Sandown last time suggests he isn't too far away from that type of form.

Dyna Nico blew her rivals away when scoring at recently in 25.74 and she has more than enough speed to lead this field for a long way, in her previous 500m runs she appeared to stitch up late, however she is a stronger type this time around and she should give a great sight. Buckle Up Mason is a track specialist and he has been racing well without winning of late. The empty draw underneath should help him and a top three finish appears on the cards. Crawf's Bread is never far away in this class and he must be included in your exotic bets.

8ZIPPING JOE (NSW)[5]6332634.65(8)D Mcdonald (Devon Meadows)

Go Mobo has the good draw and he looks ready to step back up to the 600m journey. His most recent racing has been over the 500m journey and he had been lacking a bit of early zip which made things difficult for him. From the red he should punch through and hold the early lead and from there on it should be a matter of times and margins.

Smart Maxwell has been airborne of late and if he crosses the red early he will give a great sight. His chances hinge on him being able to lead but he really is flying at present and is always a chance. Hession Boots is much better than his form reads and he is a must for exotic bets. He is likely to settle back in the field but he has a good record here and he always finds the line strongly. Zipping Joe rounds out the chances, he was never out of trouble here last week and he will be looking to make amends.

Allen Gravion scored a commanding 25.38 Shepparton win two runs back and he really looks well placed in this event. There isn't a lot of early speed drawn around him so he should get plenty of room to muster speed and if he can settle in the top three he will prove too strong in the run home.

Feikuai Zack has been racing consistently at Wentworth Park of late and he has won here previously in a smart 30.12. He can be a little hit or miss early but if he gets away he is sure to make an impact. Alotta Luck set the track alight at Sandown last week when winning in 29.38, on that occasion she uncharacteristically pinged the lids, if she pings again then she wins easily but I'm not convinced that she can come out like that again. Allen Zentax does his best racing here and he could be nice value in this event.

Whistler Bale is dropping considerably in class tonight and she is unbeaten in her two tries here. Her winning times here aren't flashy but she is a much better chaser this time around and she could probably get down to the 34.50 mark tonight. There are slow beginners all around her so she should settle top three and prove too strong in the run home.

Skyfire was a recent strong 29.75 Sandown Park winner and he has indicated that he is now ready for this trip, the box draw hasn't done him any favours but he has been stepping a lot better of late. Our Shiraz is very consistent and he has a solid record here over 525m. He has the ability to ping the lids and if he can settle in the top two early he should be a major factor. Allen Firestorm is the smokey, he had no luck when debuting over this trip two runs back, if he could get a clearer passage early he may just cause an upset.

Race 12 – 525M Grade 5 – 11.00PM

Hestia Bale was far from disgraced in her placing here last week and with the drop in class tonight she should be able to go one better. I can see her settling in the top three early and she should make a strong move mid race, there really isn't a lot of depth in this event so she should prove too strong.

Dyna Zod has been disappointing of late but he is capable of much better. If he can get a fairly clear passage early and sight the bunny he should be able to boost his confidence. Feikuai Molly has been placed in five of nine of this trip and she normally begins well, if the favourite happens to find bother there is every chance she might be off and gone with the prize. Lonesome Nitro rounds out the chances, he has scored two strong wins here to date and he only needs some luck at the first bend to feature.
