Leg 1 – Gosford – Race 7: Topper Road To Win $2.30
Topper Road is armed with sizzling early speed and he should appreciate the drop in class tonight. He has raced well from wide draws in the past and with some slow beginners drawn underneath, he should get a nice run into the first bend. His main competition will come from Miracle, but he is an average beginner and he will be relying on some luck in the first 50m.
Leg 2 – Gosford – Race 10: Archer John To Place $3.75
Archer John has been racing in strong company of late and with the abundance of speed drawn underneath, he should be able to drop onto the rail in the early stages and get a nice sit. He is quite strong in the run home and he does have class on his side. He is well over the odds in this race and it might be worthwhile having something small on him for the win as well, if he gets the breaks mid race, he should be right there at the end.
Leg 3 – Sale – Race 7: Dewana Hitman To Place (Top Two) $1.91
Dewana Hitman is much better than his form reads and from the inside draw he should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first bend. He has a slow beginner drawn directly on his outside and a wide runner in the four, so there shouldn't be any crowding in the first few hundred metres. He is a different type of chaser when he can lead and dictate the terms and he should get every chance to show his best tonight.
