Paua Explosion isn't that well drawn but if she can step cleanly she should have enough speed to push through and hold them out, she normally likes to move a little right at box rise but she has a slow beginner directly on her outside so she should get a fairly clear passage early. She isn't overly strong but this race lacks depth and she may just zip away mid race.

Nightwatchman turned in a great performance here three runs back and he will be storming home in this. He can be unreliable and he will rely on a lot of luck in running but he is going well at present and this is the weakest race he has contested for a while.

Master Gee is an excitement machine and he is making his metro debut, he has scored some devastating provincial wins to date and if he can handle the first bend he should make a big impact

Cosmic Angel is a class act and he is drawn to atone for his three luckless runs of late. He has won five races over this journey and if he can get anywhere near his blistering 29.62 PB run he will win with ease. His box manners aren't great but he can ping away and once he finds the rail he generally goes into another gear.

Spanky's Legacy is racing in consistent fashion at present and he is drawn to get the gun run, three starts back he powered to the line in his impressive 30.04 Dapto win.

To A Tee is a promising type and he is stepping back up to a more suitable distance after a top 25.13 Maitland win.

Abunda has the speed to cross and lead this event and if she does she will give a great sight, I dont think she can win but she can hold on for a place.

Great race and it's hard to look past the classy Shoulders, he can be very unreliable but I think he will ping away tonight and if he finds the bunny early he will be running some serious time. Three starts back he beat the exciting Dyna Double One here in a sizzling 29.64 and a similar effort tonight will see him win with ease.

Zipping Angel gapped a handy field in her blistering 29.60 win here recently and she appears drawn to figure prominently again, my only concern with her is that she can take a couple of strides to get going and if they come across quickly she may get shuffled back early.

Zipping Abby is ultra consistent and she powered to the line in her recent 29.74 win here, she also has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in her races.

Chances must also be given to Ritza Hattie and Whittaker, both have a heap of talent and if either happens to step cleanly they should put themself into contention early.

Bessy Boo returned to the staying journey here last week and although he was a tad disappointing, he wasn't totally disgraced. He assumed control soon after box rise and he set a cracking pace before getting a little tired in the run home, that was his first 700m effort for a while so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he will improve a lot on that run.

Golden Gate is racing in great heart at present and he recently powered to the line in his handy 32.15 Maitland win, in early January he posted a strong win here in good time and he looks well placed in this event.

Love Affair is a talented Victorian chaser and if she can get out into some open spaces early she will take a power of beating, the big concern with her is that she is a poor beginner and she doesn't like to be crowded.

Luzaka Icon rounds out the chances, she is presently in career best form and if she can settle in the first half of the field she will make a big impact.

Seven Jacks has won two of his past three starts in impressive style and he has sizzling early speed to burn. Two starts back he flew through the first marker here in 5.37 before going on to score in a more than handy 30.03, tonight he drops a little in class and if he holds them out early he will prove hard to reel in.

Queen Esther is a track specialist and although she isn't at her best at the moment she did show three starts back in her 29.90 win that she is on her way back. She should settle in the top two or three early and she is fairly strong in the run to the line.

Varcoe is aiming for a hat trick of wins and if he avoids bother at the first end he should play a major role, the box draw is a big concern but he is going to well to ignore at the minute.

La Grand Logie is second up from a short spell and he should be ready to fire, he has the speed to lead and prior to going for a spell he did post a brilliant 29.88 win here.

Winsome Prince is a star in the making and I think he can improve on his two luckless heat efforts. He has won three of six here overall and he does own a brilliant 29.72 PB. I think he will step a lot better tonight and he should follow the two across in the run to the first turn. He is over the odds at present and I think he is worth having a crack at, you won't see $6 about a chaser like this for a while.

Fernando Bale is the real deal and when he steps cleanly he can reel off ridiculous sectionals. In the two heat rounds he went around the 5.30 mark to the first bend and a repeat of that will see him lead by a length at the first turn and it's hard to see him being run down when he is reeling off 29.50 on the lure.

Bad Boy Sniper destroyed a classy lineup in his 29.43 heat win and he must be respected, however you can never really tip him with any confidence because he is very hit or miss at box rise.

Very even race and I think we can find some value with the strong Mr. Corsair. He is yet to win here in nine attempts but most of those efforts have been in strong company and he really should appreciate the drop in class tonight. Last week he powered to the line when placed in his heat and with an ounce of luck tonight he should get the cash.

Addison Road will set a cracking pace and she was far from disgraced when narrowly beaten in her heat, that was her first try at the trip so I would expect her to improve a little bit on that run, however I still dont think she will run a genuine 720m.

Tuavasa Shek is well drawn out wide and he will be hitting the line solidly, there is a bit of a concern with the speed on his outside but if he can avoid bother he will make a big impact.

Spring Leaf is airborne at present and from the red she looks poised for Group 1 glory. Last time out she went through the first marker in a dazzling 5.36 and she went on to post a ridiculous 29.50, if she can ping away again and reel off similar sectionals I can't see them getting anywhere near her.

Weblec Belle is ideally placed in the pink draw and she has the speed to zip across and lead, she can be a little hit or miss early but from out there she should get every chance to wind up and hit top gear as they head into the first turn.

Dyna Nico is the most reliable beginner in the field and she should give a great sight again, it's worth noting that she did hit the line a lot better in her heat last week and she may continue to get stronger.

Kerrigan Bale is flying and if she gets away cleanly she is obviously a great winning chance.

All Too Fancy is in career best form at present having scored three Bathurst wins on the trot and all of those wins were around the 29.85 mark. She has a solid record here and she finds herself in a race which lacks genuine early speed, so if she can step away on terms she should drive to the early lead and prove too zippy for her rivals.

Stuart Town has the pace to lead them up and he is racing in consistent style at present, he has the benefit of slow beginners being drawn underneath and he has shown in the past that he can run time when he lands on the lure.

Kiss The Hawk has the good draw and he has been placed in 11 of 15 here with three of those efforts being victories.

Zipping Tank rounds out the hopes, he is resuming after six weeks off and he should be ready to fire fresh.

Rare Pearl is an enormous talent but she can do a lot wrong in her races, however tonight I feel that he is perfectly placed to return to the winners list. Tonight's race features a lot of front runners and that should allow him to settle mid field and be out of trouble and as they approach the home turn I am expecting him to hook out wide and round them up. He is capable of running some serious time and I think he is going to get better as he steps up in distance.

Rubelly Magic looks the likely leader and she should give a great sight, her last 50m is a big concern but if she finds the lead and they shuffle up behind her she might be able to build up a race winning lead mid race.

I'm a big fan of Opus Forte and wanted to tip him here but I'm a little concerned with the pace drawn on his outside, three starts ago he posted a dazzling 29.72 victory here and if given a clear run early he will be right in the mix.
