Race 1 – 520M Grade 5 – 7:30PM

The first event of the night is quite open and I have on the trained Black Menace. This promising speedster has been lightly raced in recent months, however in February/March he really caught the eye when scoring three dominant Goulbourn wins, all them by big margins and in .

Mrs. Chitty Bang was desperately unlucky here last week and if she can follow Black Menace across early, she should find herself in contention. None Of Them has been racing in consistent style of late and he looms as a chance, whilst Aurora Girl is drawn to play a major role. Hard to see anything outside of those four winning.

Top Four: 6 – 7 – 8 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Boxed Quinella: 1,6,7,8 ($6 for $1)

Trifecta: 1,6,7,8/1,6,7,8/1,2,5,6,7,8 ($48 for $1)

Exacta: 6,7/1,6,7,8 ($6 for $1)

Race 2 – 520M Grade 5 – 7:50PM

In a race which is jam packed full of fast beginners, I've decided to go with the strong finishing Kobi Jay. He appears to be perfectly drawn out wide and he has been racing in consistent form. There is going to be quite a few runners getting a stitch late and I can easily see him picking them off in the run home.

After a string of luckless performances here, Queen Esther went to and recorded back to back sizzling wins. She won't get the lead so cheaply tonight, but she still has a fair bit on most of her rivals. Woods will settle on the speed and it may be worth forgiving his past few runs. Snow Shiraz is another strong finisher and it may be worth anchoring him for third and fourth in exotic bets.

Top Four: 8 – 3 – 2 – 6

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3,8/2,3,6,8/Field ($36 for $1)

First Four: 2,3,8/2,3,8/6/Field ($30 for $1)

First Four: 2,3,8/2,3,8/Field/6 ($30 for $1)

Race 3 – 520M Grade 5 – 8:07PM

Belfast Kaiser's recent form doesn't look too flash but he finally lands a race where he looks perfectly suited. There doesn't appear to be a lot of early speed and this should allow him to get a cheap lead and from there on he should prove too strong.

Being Good has always shown tremendous ability and she put it all together at last time with a dazzling 35.32 win, if she can step cleanly and avoid early bother she will be a major player. Jenmar Power has hit the line strongly in his past two runs here and is nearing another win, whilst Calamity Trigger has plenty of gears, but he can be very unreliable.

Top Four: 3 – 2 – 4 – 5

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Belfast Kaiser.

Race 4 – 520M Grade 5 – 8:27PM

In what is a very tough race, I believe I have found some value with the well drawn Oblivious. Although he has been beaten in his past four starts here, tonight he faces a big drop in class and I think he should get sufficient room to muster speed in the early stages. He should be double figures and is worth an each way ticket.

Murtaugh is a greyhound with loads of ability but he can do a lot of things wrong. With two fairly slow beginners drawn underneath, he should be able to find the rails in the early stages and with a clear run he looms as the danger. Mike Lowrie has enough ability to cause a boilover and you can expect him to start 16/1 or longer. He is worth a small investment if you're looking for great value.

Top Four: 8 – 3 – 2 – 1

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Oblivious and Mike Lowrie (both will be nice odds and worth a nibble)

Race 5 – 520M Mixed Event – 8:50PM

The highly talented Chica Destacada finally regained some confidence with a breathtaking 29.51 win here last week. The red draw definitely helped last week but her 5.35 sectional should allow her to repeat that performance.

Mexico City is the other front runner in the event, from his good draw he should be able to muster speed and settle in the first two as they head into the back straight. I don't think he can reel in Chica Destacada, but if she makes a mistake early he should be able to capitalise on it. Edge looks ideally drawn also and he is very fast on the bunny, he should be in the mix.

Top Four: 6 – 8 – 1 – 7

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Chica Destacada.

Race 6 – 520M Special Event Final – 9:12PM

Cyntia's Star has finally put it all together and she should make it four wins on end tonight. Last week in her heat, she began cleanly and was able to lead throughout in a handy 29.95. Tonight the speedy Push It should give her a nice cart across and she will prove too strong.

Push It is normally a and she should have sufficient speed to cross the inside division, I think Cyntia's Star may burn her off in the middle stages, but she should be able to hold on for the quinella spot. Capriati hit the line strongly in her heat and she has strong place claims, whilst Te Akai Kahn may be the big improver from last week's heats.

Top Four: 8 – 7 – 2 – 5

Suggested Bets:

Boxed Quinella: 2,5,7,8 ($6 for $1)

Exacta: 7,8/2,5,7,8 ($6 for $1)

Trifecta: 8/2,5,7/Field ($18 for $1)

Race 7 – 520M Free For All – 9:35PM

In a race which features a number of exciting prospects, it's hard to go past the red hot Can Of. In his past two starts he has exploded from the boxes and recorded two breathtaking wins here in 29.47 and 29.50. He will be very short but it really is hard to see him getting rolled.

Kicking Rocks has scored two impressive wins from four starts and he should have derived lots of benefit when placed here last week at his first look at the track. He has shown that he can reel off slick times on the bunny, main danger. Cloud Ten has a great record here and he has produced some quality efforts in recent runs.

Top Four: 8 – 7 – 2 – 6

Suggested Bet: Trifecta: 8/2,6,7/Field ($18 for $1)

Race 8 – 520M Mixed 4/5 – 9:57PM

Hurricane Rino is much better than his recent form suggests and he recorded his smart 29.93 PB here from a wide draw. Paula Dawn is a railer and fast beginner, she should give Hurricane Rino a nice run across in the initial stages. You should be able to get at least $4.50 or better.

Ritza Raider showed a great turn of foot when scoring here recently in 29.94 and he should be suited by the drop in class. He can be a tad hit or miss early but if he steps he will figure prominently. has a good record here and is well drawn, keep safe at odds.

Top Four: 8 – 4 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Hurricane Rino

Race 9 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:17PM

The perfectly drawn Asia's Babe will go around a short priced favourite and if she handles the first turn she should get the cash quite easily. Two starts ago she downed a quality field at Richmond in 30.67 and she looks to have plenty on this lot.

My Awesome Opal is a big doubt to run the trip but with her explosive early speed she should be able to a monster lead mid race. If there is some shuffling up at the first bend she may be able to pinch the race. Raincheck and Tiny Debree look to be the only other winning hopes.

Top Four: 1 – 4 – 7 – 8

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1/4,7,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 1,4/1,4/Field $12 for $1)

Race 10 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:37PM

Black Empress has been racing in much stronger company of late and if she can reproduce her 29.92 PB here she should prove too strong. Normally a reliable beginner, she should have sufficient speed to cross and at $3.50 or better she is enormous value.

Midnight Owl has scored three impressive wins on the trot with the latest being here in a smart 30.02. I expect her to be on the speed again and she looks a strong quinella prospect. Senor Speedy is resuming from a spell and if fully wound up he must be respected.

Top Four: 8 – 5 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Black Empress.

Quaddies

6/7,8/8/1,3,4,5,8 ($10 for $1)

1,6,8/7,8/8/1,3,4,5,8 ($30 for $1)
