The Group Three Laurie Healion Memorial Final concludes today at The Garden's, with $25,000 awaiting successful connections after the race.
Surfection comes into the race as favourite, recording a sizzling 29.68 on debut two weeks ago and will be very hard to hold out from a suitable box three draw. Trained locally by Cliff Clark, owner Cory Clark was given the mother of the greyhound to race and breed with and now is having the time of his life watching this son of Surf Lorian and Teenage Dream, mature into a very smart greyhound.
Invisible and Lightest Touch will challenge for the lead from the outside boxes and Zipping Jacob has been very unlucky at his past two runs and is drawn to perfection in box one.
The final will be race five on today's card, jumping at 5.08pm.
Scott Austen (Trainer): “I was so happy when I saw he had box one. I'm pleased with his past two runs and hopefully he can jump better this week and get up near the leaders. It's a huge thrill to be in this final.”
ARG Opinion: Has been a very consistent greyhound during this series, finishing runner up in both his heat and semi-final. Is a poor beginner, however a handy box draw should suit him and can challenge for a place.

Cory Clark (Owner): “It's the third time he's been in a full field, so he has the same chance as any of the other finalist's but if he can find the lead I'm praying for a good outcome.”
ARG Opinion: Fast beginner who has produced a solid performance in his heat, however tends to weaken at the finish. Look for him to be up with the early leaders and could hold on for a place.
ARG opinion: Showed brilliant acceleration in his semi-final win last week, recording good sections and if he gets a clear path will take some running down.
ARG opinion: Recorded his first victory last week at huge odds of $41 from box five and will need some luck again at the start from a poor box draw, however his solid run home time last week does give this greyhound some hope.
ARG Opinion: Was very unlucky last week when he got forced wide in the home turn and finished second. Ran third the week prior in smart time and has the early pace to cross from the wide draw.

ARG Opinion: Was very impressive on debut in his heat clocking smart time from a wide box draw. Definitely has the early speed to use the right box to perfection and will be a threat in this final if he gets close enough.
