Higgins Should Be Good To Lend Us Fifty
Written By Kevin Pitstock, Editor & Australian Greyhound Racing Expert Contributor Wednesday 11th June 2008
The Jim Higgins trained Lend Us Fifty remained undefeated in the series when it won the final at Wenty on Saturday June 7.
From box 1 Lend Us Fifty after settling midfield soon got into a nice spot behind the flying Elite Oriental and from this good position finished over the leader to win by three quarters of a length from Korvette which also finished strongly from third spot.
Lend Us Fifty, lightly raced and ultra consistent, ran 30.29 to record its fifth win (7 placings) from only thirteen starts, for a Wenty record of 4 and 3 from 7 starts.
Lend Us Fifty was the form dog in the final having won both its qualy and semi impressively. Korvette was also undefeated in the series but with a win and an unplaced in a Bulli feature interspersed.
Jim Higgins has done a great job with his talented charge and deserves hearty congratulations.
This series involved many exciting greyhounds competing and thanks go to all owners and trainers who contested throughout the series, especially those who travelled far to compete.
