Shapely Escort stormed home to score a narrow victory over the smart Size Seven in the 1970 Vic Peters Memorial Classic, run over 500 yards at Harold Park. Trained by John Drady, Shapely Escort earned $6,110 for her half-head victory in a fair 26.7.

Bigbad Trent scored a three-quarters of a length victory over future superstar in the 1997 Penrith Derby, run over 530 metres. The Gary Young-trained sprinter earned $12,000 for in defeating a field which also included Leonie's Osti and Kellbrett Ned.
