A Christmas Gift Out Of Left Field
North Coast trainer, Frank Anderson, experience one all mighty thrill at Wentworth Park on Saturday night (December 15), with runner Left Field winning the AAA Radiator Specialists Christmas Gift.
Left Field jumped smartly and was able to muster speed to the first turn, holding out the field and scooting away for a dominant 29.97 win over the 520m journey.
Owner-Trainer Anderson couldn't wipe the smile from his face as he was presented with the trophy and $25,000 winner's cheque, immediately after the race.
Left Field scored 6 1⁄4 lengths over Barney's Magic, while only a head separated second and third placegetter, No Rules League.
Anderson's runner will now gain priority entry into the $100,000 to the winner Centrebet Paws of Thunder heats on January 12.
The Group 1 series is open to the Best 64 runners, with preludes being conducted from December 22.
