Written By Michael Radley, New South Wales National Coursing Association Correspondent Friday 3rd September 2010

National Sprint Championship winning trainer, Anthony Azzopardi will head to The Gardens today with a couple of great winning chances on the inaugural Multicam Black Top carnival stud day.
Azzopardi’s two main chances Undisputed Dos, number eight in race five, the Path To Power @ Meticulous Lodge Stake and Surfella, jumping form box seven in race seven, the Knocka Norris @ Rocky Ridge Farm Stake.
The form analyst for Greyhound Racing NSW has labelled Pure Power Play as the best bet of the meeting, saying;
“Absolute stack of speed in this, UNDISPUTED DOS (8) to get the ‘fly’, excellent beginner with speed to burn that excels from outside alleys, clearly the one to beatâ€
While analyst suggests that Surfella is the best value of today’s meeting.
“SURFELLA (7) is better than recent outings suggest, rises in distance which suits, safe beginner with enough to the find the top & prove hard to run downâ€
As part of the new Multicam Black Top Carnival which will for the first time culminate on a Saturday night with the running of the Group Two Multicam Black Top Final, worth $35,000 to the winner, the NCA have added a new highlight to the week, with today’s early evening meeting sponsored by Australia’s leading stud’s and there sires.
The studs and sires supporting The Gardens include:
- Surgeon
- Take The Kitty
- Path To Power @ Meticulous Lodge
- El Galo @ Awesome Lodge
- Run’s House @ Awesome Lodge
- Knocka Norris @ Ricky Ridge Farm
- Rocky Ridge Farm
